Decent Stand-In for Gameshow Host Microphone
I've used this microphone for nearly three years, as a Trivia, Music Bingo, and (now-recently) gameshow style presenter. -- I've used this with both XLR cords, and XLR transmitters (like the XVIVE U3).I did end up buying a windscreen cover, but it works like a charm. I wish ON-STAGE, would make a shorter microphone, without having the gooseneck portion. Then they could be the top seller of "pencil-thin" microphones. - That, or custom options, would be fantastic. But, for $50, I've not had any issues, and this microphone is a full rigid tube, except for the 3-inches near the base. I do use this in my work, hosting shows, and I get lots of happy comments on it.Don't wear any finger rings or bracelets, the sound will travel, and you'll get feedback. This microphone works as a great "prop" stand-in as well. There's a show on youtube called "Name Your Price" where the host will use this microphone as a prop, without being plugged in.

Good quality gooseneck Microphone
I have used some very expensive microphones of this type that are much better, BUT, for the money this one is the Best in the sub $120 price range. Solid build quality and good sound reproduction that you would expect from more expensive microphones.Pros: It works very well, adjustments are not transferred directly to the microphone and it appears to have good off access noise rejection. Looks professional and well built. Low price!Cons: It's a little heavy and the mic head is larger than the picture implies. Need to find a good solid base or recessed XLR connection for desk or podium mounting due to the weight.I needed a mic to add to my collection that I could use for a smaller DJ console for announcements that was quick and easy to set up. The console is only 4U high and a 1U mixer with front XLR inputs for mics so I was looking for something that could just be plugged in. Nice and simple and if people wanted to stand behind the console to use as a podium that would be an option as well as some people don't want to use the wired or wireless mic and stand infront of the crowd. Also was looking for a mic that could quickly be mounted on an XLR base for events and video production. This works great.

Best value for the price
Sturdy, great quality on the hardware. However the sound output tends to be tinny. But for the price it is freaking AWESOME!!! I use it as a mic on my DJ mixer. It is best used when the music is playing low, or not at all. If you are thinking of getting this for a podcast or a podium for announcements it is amazing. The trouble I got into is because I use it when there is 90-dB music playing in the background and I tried to use it like my Shure handheld to hype up the crowd. Let's just say that's I got their attention. Hehehe

Great microphone for speech, may pickup electrical hum (50Hz) in some venues
Good dynamic microphone for speech, excellent pickup and off axis sound rejection is nice. Works very well with Lynx base, On/Of switch works well too. Microphone picks up electrical noise (50 Hz) where as other Dynamic microphones in same spot do not pick up same noise. I still use this mic in a location that has no electrical noise and it is working perfect.

Fills my need exactly
... But I can't give it 5 stars because the output is really quite low. Have to turn the input nearly up to full (Focusrite Saffire). Now, what IS very cool for me is that my Saffire is mounted in a desktop rack and the mic plugs into the front panel and is situated perfectly at the recording console. I AM a little concerned about what the weight of the unit might be doing long-term to the input, but we shall see.

Not too shabby
I'm using this for my synthesizer's vocoder function. It sounds great and doesn't pick up any noise unless you're talking right on it; which is what I wanted. My only dislike is how stiff the mic is and how little it bends. All of the bend is in the base so you will get limited angles to which you can use this. Other than that, sound is great so it's a good and inexpensive buy.

Nice mic for the $ - highly recommend esp since ...
Nice mic for the $ - highly recommend esp since we had bought a more expensive omnidirectional mic for our religious services but it kept getting so much feedback. This one does the job great and no feedback except the positive one I'm leaving here lol. 😀

There are much better mics out there
It is hard to argue with for the price, but as others have mentioned, it does have a very low output and sounds fairly thin. There are much better mics out there, but most are condensers that require phantom power. They also cost a great deal more. They have been fine for my purpose, but not everyone will like these.

Tinny and unresponsive
I guess if you were just using it for a bit of vocal reinforcement, and you didn't mind that there was absolutely nothing audible at the bottom or top, this would not be too awful. For the very small subset of the audio spectrum that it covers, it is quite clear: kind of like an old-fashioned telephone in range, but much less noisy. For that, for its reasonable cardioid directionality, and for the neat way it plugs straight into a mixer (though make sure you have strong metal sockets because it's not light and it only bends at the base, so it will create a significant strain) I am giving it a second star. If you want to convey any expression in your voice at all, though, you'd be no worse off plugging in the cheap headset that came with your phone and much better off buying a $20 handheld microphone, a gooseneck, and a short cable (total cost about $40) because this essentially clips 90% of the audible spectrum. Don't even think about singing! Maybe there is some bass or treble in there, somewhere, but my equipment couldn't pick it up. All I hear, even with equalization turned up full at the top and bottom, is a very tinny (but clear) vocal middle. I suspect this accounts for reviews saying that it is very quiet but, for a dynamic microphone, it is not that bad. My classic Shure 55 actually delivers significantly less volume, but it delivers it across the whole audible spectrum, so it sounds louder. Admittedly, it costs at least 4 times as much, but that's not the point. The point is that the volume is not low. It's just missing most of the sound.

small microphone doesn't capture the nice rich low ends
Tinny, small microphone doesn't capture the nice rich low ends. but the construction is strong and usable. better suited for small gymnasiums, emcee or as a talk back mic in a studio. wouldn't recommend it for any higher level of professional PA announcing.

I reallly amaze with it price and sound quality.
I bought this product few weeks ago to replace the old one from my office meeting room. I reallly amaze with it price and sound quality. I'm not even notice the difference between this mic and the original mic I have previously. Also with the prime service I have on my amazon, it give me a lot of convenient by just using single click and the product will come directly in front of my front door.
