10 Rolls 26 Gauge 130 Yards Artistic Jewelry Beading Copper Wire for Crafts Beading Jewelry Making, Each Color One Roll(Mix Color-1)

Did receive 10 Spools of various colors of 26 gauge copper wire. I mix it with 24 or 22 gauge color coated wire to make Kumihimo braided jewellery. I made a necklace and a few smaller jewellery pieces with a couple of colors including the black along with some 24 gauge color covered copper wire. The black wire is almost gone. Because the black almost being gone and looking at the spools, I am not sure if I truly received 10*13yds. = 130 yards of wire total???? The best I can tell from photo on listing, the shape of the spools the wire is on is the same as the spools of wire I received and height of the spools of wire could be the same as the ones I received. I am taking off one star because I am not sure if I got the full yardage advertized and because in the title, in the listing, they used the word "Artistic" which could cause confusion and lead the consumer to believe they are buying wire manufactured or sold by the "Artistic" company who sells several different lines of wire used by jewelery makers, artists, craft makers, and hobbyists. The wire which I bought and received had no brand name or manufacturing name on the clear plastic wrapping that kept all the stack rolls of wire together and not on the spools the wire is on. The plastic wrapping had a label on it that said 10 rolls of 26 gauge color coated copper wire and think the yardage but no company name. I think the word "artistic" was use in the listing title to let consumers know this gauge and type of wire is often used by "artists", crafters, and hobbyists. The color coating on the wire I received does appear to be staying on unlike some previous reviewers said about wire they received by various sellers. Like a previous reviewer said use pliers when working with color coated wire to protect the color coating and the wire. I would like to add to that you need to use the appropriate type and size wire cutters and don't keep bending the wire back and forth in the same place. Using inappropriate type and size of wire cutters and repetentative bending of the wire back and forth in the same place can scratch the coating and damage the wire. Using scissors to cut this gauge of wire can also cause to the wire and your scissors.

I bought this wire for my art work since the colors were great. However, the colors have chipped off some of the wire on the spools before I have even used any of them! I am a professional artist and planned to use this wire today, so this was SO disappointing. Seems so much more of a hassle to return anything to Amazon these days too!In hindsight, I was able to use some of it avoiding areas where the paint chipped off and the copper wire showed through. The colors are wonderful. I just hope the color does not chip off the wire now that the art pieces are done. Fortunately, I only needed small sections of each colored wire.

I like this product & the colors a lot. The only thing I didn’t like is, it’s a little too soft I wish I was more sturdy & stayed in pace more. But I made it work. Other then that I think it’s a good product.

I use this wire to wrap stones for necklaces and it works great! Will be ordering again.
