Q: What end does it unscrew? I just want the top bit to put on my dangly belly bar to cover a scar

The top bit unscrews. It's really nice. I got this cause over the year my belly button hole has Wilden meaning when I put the normal ones it's goes through so this was a perfect fit to hold it in. Looks great

Q: Is there 2 shades of iridescent

Don’t know , but I wouldn’t buy this , it’s not surgical steel, doesn’t tighten up in line . It’s not good quality

I suspect it’s neither , cheap metal that tarnishes
