Amazing Story
Reading this book is worth every minute if you want to be entertained. It weaves the captivating stories pertaining to the production and distribution of marijuana on a major national level initiated by family farmers in Central Kentucky. I've read both books on the Cornbread Mafia by J. K. Bickett who was an active participant, as well as the one by journalist Jim Higdon. All 3 are very interesting and well told accounts of this amazing group of friends and relatives as they carried out their outlaw deeds, but to get the inside story, Bickett's books are a must-read.

Obsessed
I grew up in Nelson co. I had always heard about the CBM. I thought it was a myth. As I got older and met people I realized it wasn’t a myth. I read this book after the first one. I also read another book on the CBM. A great look and lots of detail. Both books were well written. Funny and sad. But a memoir about redemption, lessons learned, friendships, and perseverance on the author and his life long friends.Hope there is a 3rd installation.

Great book!
I purchased this book for my Father in-law to read while we were on vacation. This is the first book he has ever read and he could not put it down! Finished it in about 2.5 days and would not stop talking about it. If you are interested in the Hemp or Marijuana business and history in Kentucky, I would highly recommend.

Knew of so many
I loved this book. Living one county over and having moonshine in our family (in the day) I can understand the loyalty of these guys and girls. When you need someone to have your back you know what family is,blood or not. Keep up the good reads Joe Keith !!

Most enlightening, learned a lot about the days of the late 1960’s - 1970’s in Central Kentucky

Excellent memoirs!!
One of my favorite things is toread memoirs written by those who own the journey and tell the story firsthand. I appreciate Joe Keith’s artistry of story telling in that he is candid which keeps the reader entertained yet never strays from the facts. I also appreciate that he includes documentation which supports his stories. Excellently penned in my opinion!
