Mini Metal Dustpan and Brush Set Natural Bristle Hand Broom for Fireplace Woodstove

These are a bit small, but I'm using it for a wood burning stove fireplace insert and the opening is small anyway. So far they've actually worked very well for me, and they are very cute and old fashioned looking which I like.

We recently purchased a Ventis HEI240 fireplace insert and we love it. But my open fireplace tools are just too big to do a good cleanout. So I ordered this dustpan and brush to work inside the insert. It's working out better than I had expected, the dustpan fits in there nicely and it's easy to scoop up piles of ash. Once I get the bulk of ashes scooped out I can use the brush to move the remaining ash to the center and scoop it out. I'm getting about 95% of all the ash out by using this dustpan and brush. I then use my shop vac with a filter bag installed to vacuum out the remaining ash. With the filter bag in my shop vac I get absolutely no ash dust into the room. It all works great!

The little broom is cute, and functional. The little dustpan is - well - not quite as described. I mean, it is, except that the hanging loop pulled out of whatever was holding the ends to make that loop. I spent 5 minutes wrapping a rubber band around ... and around ... and around ... So far, it's holding. But this was purchased to be used, not as a decorative item, and I hang a lot of things because I have limited space. I guess it was too heavy for the glue, or whatever. Oh, yeah. One of the main reasons I chose THIS broom and dustpan was the lack of icky plastic parts.

This set is small and really cute.

This little dude is the housekeeper that you didn’t know you needed until you have it. I use it to dust off the grime on the outdoor swing chains and cushions to sweep up crumbs on the counter, and the spilled dog food or detergent. Handy!

As others have said, it is quite small, but built of sturdy materials and well constructed. I would imagine if not abused it could easily last a lifetime. I agree with the review that said it was not stainless steel but rather it is nicely coated mild steel. I believe it will be absolutely perfect as a counterbrush to clean the stray flower and seeds and crumbs from the food contact surfaces in the kitchen and from the table linens on the dining table. I'm going to use it for just that so that it stays sanitary. Although, technically it would have to be made in Japan to be a Shuro broom and this one is clearly marked made in China, it is absolutely a quality product. The very same big palms and windmill palms that have been used for centuries are native to both China and Japan. I'm sure the broom bristles are authentic; they are very fine and don't create any static electricity so it's extremely well suited for sweeping and collecting extremely fine dust like pastry flour. I couldn't be happier with this product.

I don't hold the decorative against this cute little set. The handle on the dustpan came wobbly and not super secured, but I did not have high expectations, as this is one of a few sets I have for different purposes. What I need it for - to sweep little piles of dust from the hearth? It's perfect. If you're click-n-searchin for a utility broom and dustpan, it's not this one. Go back to search results for something like that...and keep lookin!

The model in the picture must be teeny tiny because this set is even smaller than shown. Also, I'm a fool; I thought because of the name it was going to be Japanese but it is actually made in China. Why did I think it was going to be Japanese? Because I am stereotypically American in that way. Any ways, the broom has so far held up to its intended purpose; sweeping kitty litter from just around the pan. It has more of a classic Chinese cheap junk look to it in real life; do not think you will be putting it on display. The strings do not match from the pan and the broom.

This is small and exactly what I was looking for. Very sturdy. Quite rustic and attractive next to our fireplace. Perfect for keeping the stray dirt cleaned up around the front of the fire area. Love it.

I used this wisk and dustpan to sweep up ash that falls on the hearth in front of the fireplace. Attractive and works well.

I mean this is a fine little broom and dust pan. I got it to hang by the cat's litter and I hoped that the dust pan would go more flush to the floor than it does, making it easier to sweep stuff into the pan. They're also sufficiently attractive that I don't feel like I need to hide them in a cupboard, so after fixing the broken string, they're fine hanging out in the open. I mean really, why do we insist on making brooms and dust pans super ugly. If it's something you'd like to use every day, then get something attractive enough to leave out hanging in a convenient spot!

Bought this for my Mum as she really wanted one for when she's baking.It's surprisingly well made for such a low price. Very sturdy, yet lightweight and it LOOKS wonderful. You can display it proudly.I'm going to buy another one for myself to keep my coffee station tidy.
