VIMVIP HD-CVI/TVI/AHD Passive Video Balun with Power Connector and RJ45 CAT5 Data Transmitter 1 Pair

I was installing new CCTV to home and an outbuilding. The outbuilding already had cat 6 cable that was fed under the decking so really didn't want the hassle of running BNC/power cables again. This was a great alternative. Simply add them to both e3nds of your cat5/6 and plug in. Very simple. Works perfectly. Great help.

It works and works well. Our office is cabled up with CAT5 Ethernet cable, and this has enabled us to power up and connect the video from our security cameras back to a central spot where the DVR and PSUs reside, all without drilling holes in walls - which the landlord would not like. Quality seems as good as those cameras that are fed direct to the DVR, but bear in mind that the cable runs are shorter than 10 metres..

The project I bought this for has been temporarily shelved. I haven't used it yet but don't expect any problems. I opted for wifi memory card cctv cameras instead of the wired central storage system which these were gonna be used for. I will have to figure out another use for them.

Fantastic dispatch time and arrived before delivery date, works really well and no display issues once connected over 40 metres away, used on a CCTV unit. Really simple design and highly recommend this product

I was so glad to find out about this product, it has made putting our CCTV cameras up in an area without power so much easier. There is also no noticeable difference in the quality of the footage either.

When working on small tvi systems these sre the must have for me. Allow easy upgrding to ip in the future and save loads of time.

I had this product for ages before I drove the 120 miles and back to fit it to my mother in laws security camera. The original balun had got wet and failed. This was entirely my fault. Connected the new balun, and at first it worked but as I went to move the balun into the cameras connection housing the video dropped out. To cut a long story short, I discovered that there was a loose connection where the cables go into the moulded body of the balun. I now have to find a reliable balun and do the 240 mile round trip again. Thoroughly Peed Off!!!!!!

they seem well built and do what they should, not much to say really but they are easy to use and fair priced

ok, there is a god!I hate to run the two wire combo for cameras. It's expensive stuff, and if you are not careful, you can damage the video cable (if you are running cameras, you need to run a video cable and power cable and said two cables come as a single siamese. Very expensive. Instead of running this, with these baluns, you can now run ordinary cat 5e with these terminated at each end: simple, cheap, easy to run. One of the devices goes to the camera, the other one goes to the DVR and the 24 volt power panel....couldn't be easier.

I did not believe that this would work but still took a chance... I'm glad I did!!! I already had Ethernet cable in place (two different categories, 5 and 6) connected with a coupler. I connected this VIMVIP video adapter and magic happened... saved me about 3-4 hours of cable installation all around. The video quality is a bit different (still acceptable) than the standard video camera cable but that could just be the camera and not this adapter. Would I buy again? absolutely!!!
