Why buy tea anywhere else?
This is seriously good tea. It is excellent as is or add a little honey to brighten the flavor. My wife and I first had the Single Steeps Herbal Retreat and SS Sampler packs - the perfect way to sort out the teas to individual tastes. I found my happiness with the fruitier blends - cherry cosmo, apricot merlot, orange marmalade, and, of course, the blueberry merlot. I like the loose leaf variety mainly because I enjoy the process of brewing. From the moment I open the lid of the metal canister the loose tea comes in to the last drop at the bottom of the cup, these blends from Tea Forte perfectly wrap my senses. What a way to end a long day! There are probably competitive brands out there, but why go anywhere else. I've found a product that I love.

Disappointed, but I'm a guy
I carry a large thermos of tea to work every day -- ski instructor on a cold mountain. I'm looking for great flavor. I expect more "blueberry" flavor in something with large blueberries on the can. "Merlot" - I honestly couldn't tell what is meant. I'm a guy. Perhaps the ladies with the typical enhanced-nose-capability have a greater appreciation for this tea. A pull-out plastic bag inside the can, emptied into the can, results in half-a-can of tea. Ok, yes, it is sold by weight.

Not really fruity
It's good but I don't think I'll buy it again. It is a little too earthy to my taste, I think the sage is a little too powerful against the blueberry. I can see why it could be slightly reminiscent of wine aroma, but I don't like red wine so maybe that's why I am not a fan of this flavor?... It's not really fruity. I like the Cherry Cosmopolitan much better, my new favorite.

A Solid Fruit Tea
I drink a lot of tea, and while I wouldn't say that this is the best tea I've had, it's certainly a very solid, decent tea.First, the appearance: Visually, the tea is beautiful. There are tons of large purple blueberry halves, mixed with small flowers and herbs. You can certainly tell why it's an expensive tea, just from looking at it. The smell of the dry tea is somewhat medicinal, but still pleasant. The tea takes about 5 minutes to steep, and produces a nice reddish-purple liquid. Unfortunately, the flavor is the tea's weakest point. The main notes are not of blueberries, but rather sage, with only faint blueberry notes. Now, this isn't a bad thing, but after seeing how many blueberries are in the tea, as well as the name ("Blueberry Merlot" as opposed to "Blueberry Sage") one might expect the blueberry flavor to be more dominant. Additionally, I was somewhat disappointed that there were no tannic or wine-y notes; the name would suggest a somewhat more wine-like flavor than what it is. Overall though, it's still a very pleasant tea, and if you have a glass mug, an incredibly pretty one as well.In summary: A good tea, but don't be fooled into thinking it'll taste like blueberries or merlot.

If you like Starbucks Passionfruit!!!
I received this tea in a sampler pack it and was hesitant to try it hot, as I tend to like sweeter tease iced. I chose to add some raw Stevia to this and oh my goodness! It tasted exactly like an iced passion tea from Starbucks! Amazing flavor tea and is wonderful in the summer iced. I wasn't a fan of that hot, but that is just my personal preference :)

Darn thought I found a good loose leaf tea, disappointed
Meh, it smells pretty decent, does have a wine scent. All the other negative reviews were 100% correct! The taste is just ok, would not buy it again for sure. I paid for a nice can? LOLAnd I agreed about the can lid pushing back up & not keeping it sealed good for freshness, it does have that suction that pops it back towards you. I too hated that when I opened the can, it was a small plastic bag that you open & dump the tea in the can for storage. The can is huge for the amount of tea so all the air in the space there. I seriously doubt this keeps good unless you drink it up fast.It has just a weird off-putting taste that ruins the berry flavor if you ask me. I know what sage tastes like but I'm not sure it was coming from that.I will say that I'm not usually a tea person BUT I got a sample of one of their tea pyramids & loved it.The only other tea besides regular store bought stuff has been at Teavanna. So compared to their products...omg, no comparison.I was hoping Tea Forte had a good, similar quality tea at cheaper prices. Well as they say, you get what you pay for.

This is an outstanding tea. I add a bit of organic honey to make this blueberry wonder aspecial end to my long days. For the record, I am in no way connected to this companyand I was not given an incentive to write this.
