Surgical steel in a weighty nine layer bottom set. Who can resist this quality and price?
There have been only a handful of people that have reviewed this product. I too was flabbergasted as were people that I showed these stainless steel items to. I ask people to pick up the frying pan and note how shock they are that the pan has such a substantial feel in weight and quality. 9 layers of material at the bottom causes this weight which works very well on my induction heat surface. The pans seem to be made for the Duxtop that I have. I am sure the circumference of other units will be the same. So we have surgical steel with a heat gauge at the top of each unit. I thought the gauge would be over kill and not needed but I do look at them to see exactly what is going on. The top is made right into the lid and not some screwed top you see in units design to make manufacturing easier and cheaper. This is quality of the obvious kind. After a lot of searching I am glad I choose the Swiss Hufeisen 16 pc.

This set is so nice I want to put it in a display case ...
This set is so nice I want to put it in a display case rather than use it because it is so well made and good looking. This stacking is something that has a learning curve for me so I am still working on it. I use it on an induction burner, by the way. It is a great buy.

I'm so disappointed with this purchase
I'm so disappointed with this purchase. It's not even a week using these pots and I see rust on the inside and on the rim of the pots. What I'm I to do with it? My 1st time going stainless and this is what I get. Can I return them after using them for almost a week. This is a rip off. Don't let the shiny appearance fool you.

Lids easily break
Got these as a wedding gift 3 years ago. The pans are still in amazing condition, though they are bulky and a bit on the heavy side (especially the big sauce pan). The lids are not in great condition. The thermostat readers are cracked and no longer operate. We can't even use the smallest lid any more, because it's jagged and in multiple pieces.

Love it!
This is very high quality cookware set with fast, even heat! Disappointed that the plastic helper handle on the frying pan broke...and I superglued it to fix it. Overall it is very nice. It is rather heavy for my girlfriend so if you have trouble lifting and cleaning heavy pans, I wouldn't recommend it. Personally, I love this set as I am a fairly capable man.

Scratches easily and is subject to pitting.
For the most part, it's okay. However, I didn't realize that it would scratch so easily. I also didn't realize that the cookware would be subject to pitting. It would have been good to have one additional larger pot with a handle instead of just the one. As far as cooking goes, it has performed well.
