Rev. Ike's Secrets For Health, Joy and Prosperity, For YOU: A Science Of Living Study Guide

I have studied metaphysics and New Thought since about 1988, and I have immersed myself in a very diverse range of teachings throughout the years. I had never heard of Reverend Ike, and about a year ago, while doing further research on Neville Goddard's teacher, Abdullah, I found a page that stated that Reverend Ike was one of a few people whose teachings very closely mirrored those of Neville Goddard (whose work I very, very highly recommend). Other people who fall into that category include Dr. Joseph Murphy and, in my opinion and experience, Dr. Joe Dispenza.Each teacher has their own way of interpreting things and of presenting concepts and ideas; and therefore certain sometimes subtle points and details become more useful and accessible when studied across the works of different authors and teachers. Reverend Ike's teachings are in large part very close to the principles offered by Neville Goddard and of course Abdullah, but like any other individual, there are personal ways of teaching, writing and presenting material that are unique to Mister Eikerenkotter. Not only that, but Reverend Ike had a spirit of passion and clarity that is extremely helpful to me in deepening my understandings of the truth and in turning those understandings into practical application.Reverend Ike was also unique in that he was (to my knowledge) the one and only "evangelical" New Thought minister. I had spent most of my life completely uninterested in the Bible and in fact vehemently opposed to having anything to do with the Bible due to many experiences of being judged harshly and unfairly by members of fundamentalist churches and teachings, and in fact being outright abused by such people. It was only when I immersed myself in the work of Neville Goddard that I was able to heal that (and I almost abandoned Neville's teachings in the first few months of studying his books due to that severe mistreatment, but I pressed on at the advice of my Higher Self, and boy, have I been rewarded for doing so). Neville's interpretation of the Bible as strictly metaphorical and allegorical, and not literal, as well as his profound clarity and ability to convey extremely powerful and liberating ideas through his recorded lectures and also his writings, opened my heart and mind up to metaphysical interpretations of the Bible for the first time, and I have found a treasure chest of self empowering concepts and knowledge since finding what I personally believe to be the real, hidden meaning of the stories and passages contained in the Bible.I found Reverend Ike because of my love for Neville, and because I was so passionate about trying to discover any additional information about Neville's teacher, Abdullah. Much like the way I have never turned back from my studies of the tremendous Gift that is Neville Goddard's phenomenal body of work, since the very day I discovered Reverend Ike's work, I have immersed myself in his lectures and now in this, his only published full and complete book (that I know of). I listened to Mister Eikerenkotter's lectures for several months, gaining such immense value and watching my life improve in so many ways before I wanted more and sought out this book. As a former member of the military, and also with his evangelical background, Reverend Ike shouts quite a bit in many (but not all) of his lectures. At first, I had to adjust to this, but after a while I truly realized what "all the shouting was about". He presented many of his lectures in this fashion to truly make an impression on the subconscious mind of the listener, and to really, really get the attention of both the subconscious and conscious mind of his audience, because he understood the value of doing this, and because he genuinely cared about helping people to help themselves.As far as the actual content of this book, it is truly magnificent. With 52 short chapters (one for each week of the year, but that is only one of the many ways to use this marvelous book), virtually all of the important aspects of life are covered. Real, usable tools, techniques, quotes related to the specific chapter and also very powerful affirmations for each chapter are given. Most chapters are only several pages long, as Mister Eikerenkotter gets right to the point of each concept, and gets right to the heart of the matter for the subject at hand. Just like his lectures, he pulls no punches and offers no apologies for being a messenger of Truth and for bypassing so much of the nonsense and what ultimately amounts to self-service that litters the work of many even great authors.Reverend Ike's book gets right down to business with each chapter, and all of it is based on understanding that God is not a separate entity, and that your consciousness and your imagination is quite literally the force which shapes your entire life experience. Each of the 52 chapters is chock-full of genuinely useful information and truth, and empowering ways to implement the knowledge that we all are literally God (at least our consciousness is not just connected to the mind of God, but that our imagination and our consciousness is indeed ONE with the actual mind of the Divine, and that God in Us expresses As Us and Through Us, based on what we "feed" the mind of God with our beliefs, expectations, feelings, ideas, etc.). This very fact is one of the main reasons that I love and adore Reverend Ike, Neville Goddard, Joseph Murphy and also Dr. Dispenza. These men were all bold enough to cut through the ideologies of God and the Creative Force of the Universe as being something outside of us, and even imposing it's will upon us, and offer the actual truth to the public: We Are God, and everything we see, and experience physically in this world is only a reflection of the beliefs and ideas we "feed" the mind of God within us (a mind which has no rules or regulations on what we "feed" it, and simply orchestrates world events to mirror and reflect the content of our consciousness without evaluating that content - and that especially when we feel very strong emotions associated with the beliefs and imaginings we have, the God within us effortlessly expresses through us in all manner of ways which bring those beliefs, feelings and imaginings into physical, 3rd dimensional reality). And Reverend Ike's teachings, as well as the teaching of others I've mentioned (especially Neville), explore and promote this basic truth with immense power and accessibility. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. It is a priceless treasure!

It's a must-read.

Update 2/16/22: I've upped from 2 to 4 stars, because although what I said earlier is true, this book is a very uplifting study guide, and sometimes you just want a book to hold and put notes in, instead of YT vids. I have books from Neville Goddard and Joseph Murphy, but when I'm feeling trapped in this world, it's Ike's book that helps the most.This book is not worth the hefty $15 price. I'm a huge Rev Ike fan and listen to his youtube vids. That's really all you need, as this book is broken into very small "chapters" (each is only like 2-3 pages) of the same material you can get from the YT vids. The book is also extremely repetitive. (i.e., he uses the same examples and stories over and over). It's evident that Ike was not much of a writer; although he was an eloquent and very intelligent speaker, writing wasn't his forte and this could have used a lot of editing. But I'm sure the idea was to let him write it his way.I'd suggest saving your $15 and pay attention to his YT vids. You'll get the exact same content.

I'm 25% into the book. (I bought both the Kindle version and the physical copy). The teachings, perspective and outlook on how you should think, believe and live is on another level than any others. I randomly found Rev Ike. on youtube out of nowhere and once I got further in depth on his teaching and how we should think about God and Jesus, it's like you feel real truth in it. The heavenly Father WANTS you to be prosperous and wants you to have the good that you desire but we are so beaten down mentally in the world that it hinders our progress in what we want to accomplish. It's like you've been living under the dark clouds without sunlight but once you uncover the bright sunlight... it opens your world full of light. VERY powerful book.

I have studied and applied the principles set forth in Rev. Ike’s Study Guide for years. This is a book that is a clear roadmap to health, happiness, love, success, prosperity and money. The lessons are easy to use and understand. Once I learned that God is the Source of my supply and therefore my supply was greater than all my needs I didn’t worry anymore. I set my goals and move forward in life with freedom and ease. I recommend this book if you have been conditioned to believe in fear, sickness, lack, loss and limitations. Change your thinking and you change your life, this book will guide you.

Great teachings on positivity,prosperity and how to help yourself to attract what you want from your life, some quotes are from the bible and some great affirmation. Since I started reading this book I have seen a difference and change in myself.

Wish I knew about Rev Ike earlier, his money advice is excellent and I have learnt the errors of my ways "never be indifferent to money... money serves me, I don't serve money."

I AM A HUGE fan of Rev ike, if you love the law of attraction and positivity this is for you, its set out so you can read a page a day. i love this book i always pick it up and its upfliting and an easy read.

I have just started reading this book and it's getting me to work on myself. It's easy going style makes it a pleasure to read and laugh along with. I can change my life and I am. I wish I had this book years ago my life would be so much better off.
