Mug - Tiger - 16 oz

Just picked up this mug and it a real winner. Goes nicely in my growing mug collection.Very solid, with a nice big handle and it's heavy. Probably the heaviest one in my collection so far. It might be too heavy for some people. Definitely a man's mug - sorry ladies. The design is way cool and people that see it comment on how nice it looks and feels. Even has a signature on the bottom and as some one who has dabbled in ceramics that does add to the uniqueness in my book. I have reviewed a few mugs recently as I am building a mug collection so if you like big (16+ oz) mugs, ones that will not easily tip over and have a unique look but no logos or cute sayings on them, you should check out my other reviews.I'll be looking at other mugs from the designer for sure.

Be aware the color isn’t as red as the photo. More of a terra cotta color. Very sturdy. I like it. Just wish it was more red.

My mug arrived today! I LOVE IT. It's wonderful and is as nice as the Mermaid one I found in Ocean City MD, 2 years ago. This was a B-day present to myself and it's great. It arrived well-packaged and cushioned. Heavy, thick stoneware, wonderful design; tiger lovers will be thrilled to get this for a gift. My 2 yo mug has no chips, no cracks and is used almost every day and gets put into the dishwasher weekly. These are durable, artsy and lovable, useful pieces of art for your life. I WILL be buying more for sure. I am so glad I found these on amazon for everyone across the country to collect.

It's got good weight for me. Goes into the microwave happily and is absolutely beautiful.

We ordered several Mara mugs. Designs were lovely. Each mug weighed at least a Pound!! Would never have bought if I had known about the weight.

I have now have had three of these gorgeous everday use mugs. They seem to come into my life, stay for a while, then mysteriously disappear... it's like they are imbued with a spirit of their own, like Tolkein rings lol. This pictured one with feathers happened to cross my path in a restaurant job, and almost got away from me (again!) bcoz I left it on a campground sink ledge where we live. My sticky fingered neighbor promptly swiped it...nope, not this time! Got it back haha! 😠👊Anyhoo, these are by far the best all-day coffee drinkers mugs I have ever used, and I won't use anything else! Full four fingered handle, very weighty with even glazing. Microwave, dishwasher, hotplate- all no problem.If you're an all-day-mug coffee drinker like me, and like heavy full handled stoneware mugs- get one of these.. or get one for that person in your life. Lifetime gift! 👍☕

It's a beautiful mug and exactly as pictured (I got the tiger mug). It's heavy, but not too heavy! Just very solid and substantial. One thing about the size: it says 16 oz, and I was afraid it would be too big, but actually it holds 12 oz comfortably, which is exactly what I wanted. 16 oz goes all the way to the brim and it's not practical to pour that high! A very expensive piece, but totally worth it!
