The Matrix Trilogy [4K Ultra-HD] [1999] [Blu-ray] [4K UHD]

It's been a few years now that "The Matrix" came out..still mystifies me. ARE we in the "Matrix"?? Sometimes I want OUT too! LOL! Here is something you will be suprised at...I was. I bought a 120hz tv (3D) and something suprising was goin on. The speed of the higher hertz slowed down the film to what one would call "Real Time". This "Real Time" makes all movies seem like you are 'on the Set' experiancing the movie as it's 'being filmed. Like a fifties teleplay. You actually start noticing things that are "Movie Fakery". It is after all Pretend..I know this. Its takes away from being "In the Movie" to Being on a set. You DO notice also that instead of characters portrayed actors...you find you are noticing its Actors portraying characters. It's Very strange. I get more into the Actors skill than the "Movie Magic". Next time you are at your local tv store check out any movie at 120hz.The Matrix Trilogy" itself...AWESOME!MovieMan

These were dvd upgrades to my vhs copies so I know they are great movies. Unfortunately Zoverstocks sent me a copy for use in the UK only and these copies will end up in the garbage since the postage for receiving and returning them will negate the refund. Even though they say to "check the region before ordering", they don't tell you what region it is. The movies themselves are reminiscent of what is happening in the world today - the reality we are shown is not the real reality. When your a mushroom being kept in the dark and fed manure (lies and distorted facts), you won't know any better unless you do your research. Think of the agents as the illuminati.

This is the One of the Best Science Friction that I ever Watched! This Picture Quality (Resolution: 1080p) and Sound Quality (English: Dolby TrueHD 5.1, English: Dolby Digital 5.1, French: Dolby Digital 5.1, Italian: Dolby Digital 5.1) are marvelous! Behind the story of the Films are A-One!The Matrix is a science fiction action media franchise created by Andy and Larry Wachowski and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. The series began with the feature film The Matrix (1999), and continued with two sequels, The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions (2003). The characters and settings of the films are further explored in other media set in the same fictional universe, including animation, comics, and video games.

This is a region-free Bluray (this world can do more of those), so it will play in any country.With that out of the way, unfortunately the next Bluray (2018) that was produced from the 4K scan of the film, and paired with the 4K release, is simply better. This (2008) release is amateurish in comparison, which resulted from the creators not directly overseeing the colour grading. Yes, this release is inferior, so buy the 2018 one.BUT GET THIS ONE ALSO!Why, if the picture is worse? Because the bonus features selection is legendary.First of all, you get the making of for every part of the trilogy, and I think there is more behind the scenes material here than anywhere else. Second, you get the music video for Sleeping Awake, one of the credits songs for Reloaded, and a song written specifically for the movie. I don't think it was ever available on the DVD releases, and it's missing on the newer Blurays. You also get the music video for Rock Is Dead by Marlyn Manson. Third, you get all the cutscenes from Enter The Matrix, the only videogame that was actually connected to the movies (events take place during Reloaded). And Fourth, and this one is the most strange, you get a selection of late 90s electronic music. Was this the music creators listened to while writing the trilogy? That is my only guess, since this bonus feature is not explained.I hope I made myself clear: if you want to WATCH the trilogy, but the 2018 release. But if you want A LOT of bonus features, buy the 2018 too.P.S. Matrix 4 was a contractual obligation, it was never planned, never intended, and it's bad on purpose.

I actually have the first of the series but not in Blu-Ray. My husband and I really got into the movie this time, really got into it, and decided to get the whole series. The one we chose may not have all the gimmicks that the other Blu-ray choices had but it definitely had the movies. Wow, after watching my old DVD, we went through the whole series in a weekend - unusual for us to do. Blu-ray is awesome. As usual, Amazon sent it quickly with no problems and at good prices. So many choices, it was hard to pick. We are very happy with the one we chose.

I've wanted these in Blu-ray for a while, but they were to costly. I get reward points on my Amer Xpress card that can be used on Amazon. When I get enuf points I get a new Blu-ray movie. (Got the 40th anniv. of Caberet for my wife also). I wish I had known that there are no menus on the discs. I'm deffer than a haddock, and always use CC. This is a real PITA for me, but I put on my Sennheiser wireless headphones, on surround sound, and it works OK for me. Now, my Samsung Blu-ray 5.1 player is only 2 years old, so it would seem that it should'nt need an update (even if I knew how to). So, is anyone else in this boat, or can you tell me how to get the menu up. All that comes up on the screen is "not available".Update: 5/27/13 I found out that (being sci-fi people) the editors LOVE to screw w/you on the menu. I finally found out how to bring up the menu, so I can access the closed captioning and other features.I don't understand why these editors think it's so cool to make it a PITA to find, and work your way thru a menu !!

schnell und gut, gerne wieder

The movies are perfect, but I find the box set covering to be rather fragile and paper thin. Maybe that is the way it should be, but I am very careful each time I unsheath it.

Eine der besten Film Reihen überhaupt, mir haben alle 3 Teile super gefallen.Es gab nicht so wie bei der neuen Star Wars Verfilmung einen schlechten Teil dazwischen.Das einzige was mir gefehlt hat war ein Happy End mit Trinity, doch dieses hat man nun auch schön mit dem 4ten Teil umgesetzt, ich finde er war auch eine tolle Fortsetzung und hoffe das die Geschichte um die Maschinenstadt auch weiter geht so wie es angedeutet wurde.Die 4K Umsetzung ist hervorragend, das Bild ist der Hammer, als wäre er gerade noch im Kino gelaufen.Der deutsche Sound ist in Ordnung, könnte aber wirklich noch ein Stück besser und räumlicher sein.

Loved rewatching one of the best trilogies out there. Brilliant audio & video quality.

Revisitar clásicos es un placer que con ediciones como ésta te hacen incluso redescubrir una saga. Aunque el blu ray en su día era top a Matrix le sienta de maravilla el salto de definición y el HDR. Bendito HDR. Recordad que el HDR es algo a ajustar en vuestro televisor, y que ha de ser HDR10 o Dolby Vision para que no os encontréis contrastes extraños o gamas de colores chillonas y molestas. E igualmente hacer un pequeño ejercicio de calibración en vuestra TV para ajustar los blancos de papel, los máximos y los mínimos, igual que para los negros. Con una buena calibración el salto respecto al blu ray es descomunal, como redescubrir la trilogía en su mejor cara, que ni siquiera en cines pudimos disfrutar. Saludos!
