These work just fine. I quickly learned you do need to be cautious and ensure you do not overtighten. They will strip pretty easily. I ruined 4 this way. Once I just snugged them up, they worked perfectly. No leaks whatsoever with a single gasket that came with it. If you order some extra gaskets you can use one on top and bottom if you strip one out. It let me snug it up enough so that it was tight and did not leak.4 stars instead of 5 because they do strip easily. If they would include a few extra gaskets in each package of 12, I'd give them a good solid 5 star.

Got these to be able to add drains to some of my larger reservoirs. Easy to install and comes with gasket to keep out any leaks. Tubing attaches easily to barbed fitting.

Disclaimer: I am not using this product as intended with a flood table. I have them mounted to a side of a 5 gallon bucket and they sealed up good and didn't get too scuffed up by a pipe wrench. Couldn't get them perfectly level, but pretty dang close. To my horror, Hydrofarm's 3/4" tubing is very loose on these barbs and I needed to tighten hose clamps on them as tight as I possible could to prevent an immediate leak. I hope they at least holds up over the summer. I have tons of Hydrofarm gear and love their products so I'm sure there's probably a good reason why they use this style barb for vertical applications and another for horizontal.Edit: Got some new hose from Gohydro and fits snug on the barb.

I put these on lower portion of my buckets, 2 on the bottom of each bucket. They fit good the 1 inch ones are the ones i bought. They do just fine. All the bad reviews ive read are not applicable to the products i purchased. The only problem is i should have ordered 2 packs instead of 1. I already have the others in my cart. Just get your hole rite, and tighten them down as far as can be and your golden.

The product itself is not bad the just need to have 2 rubber seals instead of 1 which causes you to take seal from 1 of the others and makes it unable to use!

I do not recommend these unless you have 1.25 seals on hand. The seals that comes with these are very poor quality. I thought maybe the one fitting had a bad one. But checked them all. 7 out of the 10 had chunks out of them.

I added an extra O-Ring like others have suggested since I'm using them on round buckets. Three day test and zero leaks. Hand tight.

Using for an rdwc setup with 5gallon round buckets . i did have some minor leaks but i remedied them with some rtv . i dont believe that the leaks are due to the fittings themselves and i attribute them to the fact that it is due to the curved surface on the buckets . if the buckets were square or were some type of semi stiff flat surface container i dont think they would leak at all . i am satisfied with them . they dont seem brittle or that they will break easy of course unless over tightened which would happen with almost every other plastic type fitting .

All the fittings initially leaked, very frustrating! Took them apart, realized on the flange some leftover ridges from the mold forming, Cut them off with utility knife, now OK! - see the pictureThese were used on square buckets, so its not the shape, but the fittings!

every single one leaked, did not over tighten. Other brands i see use two rubber washers. Used silicon on the outside to create seal. All working,no leaks now. price also jumped from $37 to $50. was going to order more but not at that price. will be switching brands due to price gouge.

Yup. They're barbed bulkhead fittings. Ordered two packages, both arrived in perfect condition. No broken pieces, thick rubber gaskets, strong threads, all accounted for, no leaks and fast delivery. (which is fantastic as they arrived separately due to a mild mistake which the seller and Amazon caught and rectified before the product arrived which I was impressed with the professional accountability.) Purchased these fittings and would be great if they gave two rubber washers as one is not enough as you need to create a seal and on a Round Pail that can be difficult to do, I would reach out to companies like these and suggest they give two rubber washers to ensure their product will not leak.
