Perfect 80s/90s vibe
First time buying these and I'm very impressed. The sound quality is great and is perfect paired with my cassette player. I was told these used to cost £20 couple years ago but now have doubled in price because they have become popular again but it's worth the £40 I paid. I use them daily and are very lightweight and comfortable :)

Cheap but really, really good
What an amazing product. Yes it's a cheap pair of 1980's headphones with not just retro, but genuinely old, styling, but the sound they produce is really amazing for the price. These pack one hell of a punch. Deep bass, solid mids and comfortable highs. The headphones are indeed cheap, in price and construction, but they sound superb. Some mild negatives include the headband that catches your hair painfully. I have a buzz cut, and was astounded to find myself wincing in pain as the headband yanked out the odd hair. If you have lustrous hair, may God help you. Secondly, when you take them off, however you set them up, all your settings fall apart and are gone. Each time you put them on you have to adjust the headband, lose some hair, and adjust the tension setting all over again. Thirdly, this is, as I've stated, a cheap headphone, but they feel really cheap in places. The headband is a symptom of this and the ear pieces are made of brittle plastic and covered in cheap foam pads that begin to feel hard against your ears after an hour of wear. All of that aside however, let's be fair; this is a very cheap headphone. Well under £30 at the time of purchase and you get top quality audio with impedance levels designed for portable sound... phones, DA players, Walkman... whatever. You'll find people using these wherever they're on the go. I prefer these to ear bud headphones because I dislike the feeling of jamming things into my ears. It's unhealthy too apparently.Sound leakage is considerable. Those of you who are old enough to remember the '80's will recognise the tinny sound leakage of open back, small, on-ear earphones. These produce a similar sound, so be prepared for the hairy eyeball of fellow commuters. For sports these stay on well. I was surprised but they cling like limpets to your swede. Whether you'd prefer ear buds however is the big question, but if you hate ear buds, these are the next best thing.Replacement foam pads are available from Koss at minor expense which is a major plus. They also come with a small leatherette bag to pack them, and ingeniously fold up into a tiny ball, held together with a small hook and clip arrangement that is simple but effective. All in all, yes this is a very cheap pair of headphones with all that this usually entails. They are not however bad headphones. They are little marvels of acoustic brilliance. The sound is sparkling, dynamic, powerful and wide open. Yes there are several drawbacks to these, but at this price point all of them are entirely reasonable and easy to live with. I know people who have been wearing these for 30 years, own various very high-end brands, but still head out with these little Koss phones on a regular basis. The sound is comparable to headphones that cost many times the amount. Recommended. I hope this has been helpful.

Believe the hype .....an absolute legend
These headphones have been on the market for over 40 years in various interations and still going strong for good reason. They feel like a toy in your hand , lightweight , cheap and feel like they could easily break but in fact these stand up well to heavy use and are in fact very durable.I ordered the Yaxi pads to go with these so this review is based on that fitting.First off these small headphones push out a sound MUCH bigger than their size rivalling full over ear headphones in many ways.Sound is warm, comforting great degrees of clarity, fast when called for , bass , mids and treble are in perfect unison.Soundstage and imaging is spot on not obviously HD 800 wide but nicely layered and great precise imaging.I honestly thought these £35 cheap toy looking headphones could possibly compete with headphones costing much more .......I was WRONG

Value
The build quality seems fragile, but then these are a lightweight over ear headphones, so it's functional. Don't go throwing them in a bag with bowling balls! Not an expert, but I found that the sound quality was really good especially for the price.

Amazing sound quality compensates for sound leaking
I'm not an audiophile, but I wanted a good-sounding pair of headphones. After going along with this pair, I definitely don't regret it.The sound quality is absolutely amazing for someone who only used £10-ish in-ear headphones. You can hear much more detail in each song, I found that I didn't need to drive up the bass on my MP3 to feel it.The main problem with the headphones is that they can't block out sound. This is both an advantage and disadvantage, though most of the time it's a bit annoying to only hear half the music when you're near a busy road or train tracks. Then again, the sound is clear enough on a bus or a train, and whenever I get to listen properly on these headphones, it seems like the sound leaking isn't a big deal. Some other things people don't usually mention:- The top metal band is extensible and retracts by itself, so it fits really well on the head. Since it retracts, you can't wear it around your neck because they would wrap around it rather than hang. The good thing is they don't shake at all when you run, and you can still hear everything as clearly as if you were just walking or sitting.- Sometimes there is a slight clicking noise with every step you take. This is really easy to adjust by tightening the headphones.- The headphones fold inwards and a hook keeps them from folding out. When folded, they are pretty small (but not flat). Sometimes the hook gets undone which is slightly annoying but thankfully that doesn't happen often.- The cord is a really cool black and white braid of some textile which feels much better than a plastic cord. It never ever gets tangled but sometimes twists on itself, in which case you need to straighten it out.- The headphone jack (end) looks really sturdy and I doubt that the cord is going to separate from the jack like it does in some headphones with straight jacks. The rest of the headphones feels delicate (but not flimsy). I can't say anything on their life time yet.

Good headphone, but not wireless or Bluetooth as stated
Just received these headphone. They are small light and the sound is good. There are wired, so please ignore the Bluetooth connectivity statement. They are perfect for travel if you have issues with buds.
