Writing Detective Level 1 Workbook - Investigative Reporting (Grades 3-6)

I use this workbook with my elementary grade level online students. One of my goals with this book is to help my students learn to self-evaluate their work using the Rubric. I have seen some very nice progress with each student using this book. Some have even asked if there were more levels in a series as the cover specifically says, "Level One."

This workbook is wonderful for getting the kids to think through problems. It also helps with creative writing. My kids are 8, 10, and 12. It's not too difficult for the youngest yet still challenging for the eldest.

Overall a good variety of “detective “ stories but there are a few in insistence’s between the stories and the questions. For example one story talks about an event at the beach, but the question refers to a river

All of the materials put out by Critical Thinking Press are fantastic. Activities that make learning fun, challenging and memorable. They provide concrete lessons of learning for all ages... including adults! Love this book and all the others too!

I was hoping this would have more of an element of fun . Learning can be fun too,but so far ,this text is uninspiring.

Love this book. Great for small group instruction.
