IAndget USB External DVD Combo CD-RW CD Burner DVD Drive Blackthis is a somewhat decent external cd/dvd drive, very cheap and flimsyand has a push button instead of sucking the disk in.including the shipping and handling it cost me like 24 dollarsI had to buy this because with the newer laptops and kindlesthey are fazing out internal / already attached disk drives.they also make a red version of this.

For the price it works ok. I had to download a program so I could play DVD's with it. I assumed that since it says DVD combo that a program CD would come with or that I wouldn't have to download something but it all worked out. I had no problems transferring music with this product, so that part was convenient. As long as it stays perfectly still it will play DVDs well enough after downloading a program.

but it would be nice if the sellers were more upfront about that fact
Mine just stopped working after being dropped. I took it apart to see if there was anything I could do to fix it. Much to my surprise I see the drive is actually a re-purposed laptop drive. This was sold as new but the drive itself has a 2005 manufacture date????? Not that I mind it being a used/refurbished drive, but it would be nice if the sellers were more upfront about that fact.

A great working external DVD/CD drive
I bought this to go with an 11.6" laptop that has no optical drive to see if it would allow me to load printer software.It worked great! A great buy if you need one!

Works good but be careful
This got here way ahead of schedule and works well-or it did once I got it figured out. my only thing is, this gets hot hot hot. i wasn't expecting that. Don't put this on a soft surface.

Bought this to use with my laptop to read DVD ...
Bought this to use with my laptop to read DVD. It works well out of the box. The cable uses two USB port to connect and power it. What I would do is just tape that cable to the DVD when not in use because you do not want to lose the cable.

Green ain't the new black.
It turns on. It plays. (Not on window media player, but it plays.) but it gas problems showing absolute black. It turns green in those spots, bvery annoying if you're watching something on widescreen.

Good value - Easy to use
Very nice product and a really good value. Although it does not come with a manual it is really easy to use, just plug and play.My only caution would be that when you are removing the CD/DVD is not to put any pressure on the top of the case.
