Can Tony's 💗 Win Over Trimbel's Violated Heart?
"Beowulf (A Breed Apart Book 3)", by Ronie Kendig is an Engrossing, Poignant, Christian, Military, Action/Adventure Romantic Suspense 📗. The Series is best understood, when 📖 in Chronological Order.Beowulf is a retired Explosives Detection, Military War Dog, who is extremely protective of Timbrel. She works mostly with Military Special Forces, as Beowulf's Handler. That's where she met Candyman/Tony. Can this Hero Warrior finally get past all Timbrel's defensive barriers to her ❤; or will she run away? How does God help Tony & Timbrel? Can the Terrorist be stopped, from setting off a WMD? I Highly Recommend You 📖 this Nail Biting, Awesome, 📗 to find out! ❤📖 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Loved the relationship
This is the third and final book in the "A Breed Apart" series. I've been waiting for Timbrel and Tony's story since their bantering in book 1, Trinity: Military War Dog (A Breed Apart Book 1) . I think you can read this book without having read the first two in the series but it's fun to read how their explosive relationship started. Timbrel has been a very tough character throughout the series and in this book, we finally learn why she distrusts people so much. She has a very heavy past but Tony still wants a future with her. Just when it seems they have a breakthrough in their relationship, Timbrel ditches Tony, forcing him to question whether it's worth pursuing her after all. I had assumed that Tony would be after Timbrel throughout the book but I'm glad the author switched that up. After a mission goes very wrong, it was Timbrel who had to learn to fight for Tony. The secondary storyline centers on an Iraqi's personal vendetta against American soldiers while his young protege is trying to discern the truth between Allah and Jesus. Although the storyline builds up the danger of chemical weapons on American soil, I enjoyed Timbrel and Tony's relationship storyline the most. They had to learn to trust in God throughout their journey with each other and with their missions. There is some violence in this book, not too graphic, but it is still there. Reading about Beowulf (and the dog who tames him) was fun. If you've read Trinity: Military War Dog (A Breed Apart Book 1) and Talon: Combat Tracking Team (A Breed Apart Book 2) , you'll recognize some characters from those books. Also, Captain Dean Watters plays a supporting role and it is his story that kicks off the Quiet Professionals series with Raptor 6 (The Quiet Professionals, Book 1) . If you like military fiction with action, romance, and suspense, I definitely recommend this series.

Military Action, Romance, and Dog Love
Timbrel Hogan isn’t a girly girl … far from it. When she and Green Beret Tony VanAllen met in a prior book, the sparks flew. Tony (Candyman) falls for Timbrel in a big way but the handler is too damaged by her past to accept his feelings. Will a life-threatening assignment bring the two together? As always, Kendig does an amazing job of blending fast-paced military action with romance. She balances the two well to keep the story moving. One thing drew the rating from a five to a four-star. The story is mainly told in third person POV except for one minor character. His portions are written in first person which pulled me out of the story a couple times. Just minor, but it bothered me personally.Otherwise, if you enjoy military action, romance, and, in this series, a good dosing of dog love, this book is for you.

I. Loved. This. Book!
Beowulf is definitely a breed apart!Very few things can stand up to this fierce mastiff and his pretty, but tough-as-nails handler, Timbrel Hogan. Except maybe Tony Van Allen a.k.a. Candyman. But although Tony is a Special Forces soldier who has seen his share of combat, it's going to take all the training he's got and then some to get past Timbrel's defenses. Not to mention her giant hound who'd prefer eating him over looking at him. After reading the previous books in this series, I knew I was going to enjoy this story and had a hard time waiting for my copy to arrive.Oh. My. Goodness. Gracious!"Enjoy" is not an adequate word to describe my reading experience. I had to remind myself to breathe a few times. Timbrel, Tony, Beowulf... Their story is incredible and I fell in love with them! I really, REALLY liked the other books in this series, but sorry guys... Beowulf just walked away with my heart. Big old slobbery beast that he is. :-)If you want a story that will make you catch your breath, laugh out loud, and leave you sighing, then you have to pick up Beowulf. You won't regret it. But Beowulf might make you regret it if you DON'T pick it up. ;-)Oh. And just to show you how tough Beowulf is... He arrived at my mailbox in the middle of an eleven-inch snow storm.

Man versus Dog: A Read Apart for Dog Lovers Everywhere -- And Those Who Love a Good Read
Beowulf: Explosive Detection Dog follows the lives of Tony "Candyman" VanAllen and Timbrel Hogan, handler of the bull mastiff Beowulf. It's a wonderful, unique "love" triangle. Tony likes Timbrel a lot. Timbrel won't have any boy but her trusted dog. Beowulf dislikes Tony. Throw in a plot related to the hunt for weapons of mass destruction as well as Timbrel's struggles to let her heart open up to a man who obviously loves her, and you have a great book. Of the three A Breed Apart novels, this was my favorite. The characters resonated with me, as did the plots with Tony's and Timbrel's relationship, Tony's dealing with the fallout of a mission gone bad (sorry, not going to spoil it for you), and the way that Timbrel handles her life. However, my favorite part had to be the humor injected by Tony's love/hate relationship with Beo. I laughed when reading this book, and I got tears in my eyes. Save for a few loose ends not being tied up, this book was a great read, and I could easily see how it was a set-up for the new Quiet Professionals series that Kendig has launched. I hope to see these characters again some day, even if it's in minor roles.

Give it a go
Third book in the series and we meet Timbrel (strange name) who has had cameo appearances in the previous books and I must say that to start with I really did not like her at all. However, as the plot progressed I did begin to understand why she was like she was - still found her slightly annoying though.A twisting plotline kept my attention throughout and would definitely recommend this book
