OK, but ....
These bags would clearly be useful in some situations; until they plump up, they are very light, compact and easy to handle. But, be warned: even when they have taken up as much water as they can, they are still relatively light compared with sand filled bags. This means that they are more easily displaced and washed away than are conventional bags. We've found them useful in the present floods (December 2015) but, for most applications, I couldn't really recommend them as value for money by comparison with conventional bags.

Better safe than sorry
Arrived 6 days before due date. Pack of 6 Quick Dam Sandless Sand Bags 600 mm Self Inflating No Sand Required!. Second pack that I have bought. Hope that I don't have to use them. But the way the weather is its better to be safe than sorry. Will update if I use them.

I may as well have bought normal sand bags - better to use other products that are tried and tested
Very expensive and filled with loose granules of absorbent compound - this meant that all contents moved from side to side and was very difficult to put into place once it had absorbed some water. I wouldn't recommend this for use to protect your home from flooding."Made in America" isn't exactly a USP, and there are better products made in the UK/EU on the market at a better price.
