A Bitter-sweet Brew
A very pleasant lager at a reasonable price - if you want something a bit more strongly hopped than the average lager, this is your thing! I'd get it again.

Not bad, OK, nothing to write home about though. Tastes like any or most other British brewed lagers I've tried over the years, OK but not a patch on the average continental offering in my humble opinion, let alone the best European lagers, you must make up your own minds...

Bland
Having tried pale ale in a keg I thought I'd give the lager a whirl. Not impressed !Despite being well rested and chilled the vent at the top was desperate to spray as much as it could - ended up opening the tap and pouring a pint of froth just so as not to waste the contents. Though to be honest the lager was so remarkably bland that it didn't matter.Though on the plus-side it did do wonders in baking. Replacing water with this stuff made for a decidedly lighht and fluffy sponge cake.
