Literally no break-in period!
I don’t normally write reviews, however, considering people buy boots to work in, I want to give my opinion so that others may benefit. I ordered six different boot in various styles. Four pair from Amazon and two more from Zappos. The free shipping to and from was a bonus so that I could try them on and pick which ones I wanted to go with. I decided to go with these Keen because they were the most comfortable out of the box. The first day I wore them to work I was able to notice that I had on new boots. Well, within a couple hours I didn’t really notice any discomfort and by the days end it felt like I had been wearing them for weeks. The leather is nice and soft, feels good on the ankles, and are able to to be laced tight. The wide toe box is really nice, especially if you have to kneel down while working. I’m hopeful that they will have good longevity considering the price. So far I am happy with the quality and comfort. These two characteristics outweigh the cost of the boots.

Coffee Bean / Star White Color look exactly as pictured.
The Coffee Bean color boot looks exactly like the product pictures.I normally purchase the Gingerbread/Off White boots but wanted to try the Coffee Bean color boots this time. The fit is slightly wider and longer than the gingerbread color boot and the shaft is about 1/2 inch taller. The removable insole is the same as the gingerbread color boot and has good cushioning with average to minimum arch support. The leather is more porous and seems to be slightly thicker. They are slightly stiffer and may need a bit more break-in time. The laces seem to be durable but I personally prefer darker brown laces so I swapped them out.The boots are comfortable, good looking and fit well.I am satisfied with this purchase and would recommend these boots.

Feet savers
I've been wearing this for a few months now I they are the only pair of shoes I'll wear when I'm standing all day. I put off getting them due to the cost but now I wish I had them months, even years ago. The first week I had them they felt great, no break-in needed. Now that I've had them for months they're even better. Personally I replaced the insole with a new one just so I have more heal cushioning - I've had heal issues and while wearing these boots I can't feel my heal pain at all.I bought these specifically because they have a very level sole. The raise front to back is minimal so my feet aren't sliding to the toe area and smashing me toes all day. I stand on concrete 2/3's of my day and that helps.

Sole is separating after 5 Dmdays
Boots are quality leather and super comfortable for those with wide feet. I bought these for the price and Keens track record of quality boots. I was wrong, the sole started to separate after 5 days of use. I was not even putting them through the wringer at a job site, just wearing them around the office. I will be asking for a refund.

Sole split long before boot wore out
Love these boots. Super comfortable and lite. My only issue is with the soles. This will be my second pair that the sole split long before the rest of the boot was ready to be out out of commission. I'll be looking elsewhere.

My first pair of Keens
Very happy with the comfort, styling, and quality of materials. I work on concrete all day as a salesperson I needed something that gave me proper support but yet sturdy enough and some of the work that I do do. Overall I'm very happy and impressed for the price for these shoes.

Better than nothing
Decent boots, use them for automotive work. Insoles are comfy for the first week or two, after that I switch em out for better comfort for my line of work. Still holding up, nothing really torn up like I've seen other pictures. Might last for another four or five months before it'll fall apart just from work itself. I will say that the slip resistant has its perks, constantly in oils or coolant and helps me not to fall or worse. What's with the ridiculous long laces?! They hang like several inches after tying them up. Idk the hunt for decent boot is never-ending.

Bought over two years ago
I bought these Keen boots in Feb of '22 and it's now June of '24. These boots have lasted and have been super comfortable from day 1. I am only now looking to replace them. Soles are still intact, replaced the laces, I have only used mink oil and air compressor to clean and condition them. I work in the dirt quite a bit and walk miles everyday at work. The Arizona dust has finally got the leather to pull away at a stitched seem. I'm buying another pair of Keen Boots this week. I'm done with Ariat and Red Wing.

Sizes run large
I wear 11 wide in Keen hiking boots. In the San Jose, the 11 wide was much too large and 10.5 wide still too large.

Light & comfortable
First off, I bought a half size up because so many other reviewers said to do so.My advice is not to do this. Now I have a boot that fits a half size too big. I can deal with it by wearing thick boot socks, but I wish I'd have ignored everybody saying buy a half size larger, that's bad advice. That said, these boots are very nice. Super light, sturdy and well made, and even though they're a bit large, they're quite comfortable. Lots of room in the toe box.I'd buy them again (in my size, of course).

A little too small
Great boots. But they fit small. I have other Keens in the same size and these are just a little too small. Buy a half size or size up.
