Pet Safety Immersion Pool/Water Alarm

It was horrible! My elderly dog fell in the pool and the alarm did not sound until my son was pulling him out minutes later! He had to spend the night on oxygen in the emergency clinic and the company would not accept any responsibility since I did not buy it directly from them. Horrible experience. We also had a consistent problem of it going off in the middle of the night when the turtle was attached to the collar and he was sleeping in his bed.

When my dog suddenly fell in the pool one morning, I chalked it up to his being groggy. When it happened again soon after, I realized I needed to do something to protect him since his eyesight and balance are fading. So, I started closing the doggy door when I wasn't home and bought the Safety Turtle system. The system has since saved his life three times, including last night. I was brushing my teeth when the alarm went off--it's loud enough to hear throughout the house--but was able to scoop him out quickly. I keep the base plugged in inside the house, about five feet from a wall and sliding glass door, which is 20-50 feet from each end of the pool. The alarm noise is almost instantaneous; when my dog missed a turn and ran straight into the pool right in front of me, the alarm was chirping in a split second.I would recommend getting a second turtle for your dog's collar because it does take hours to dry out.

Got this item ten months ago. I waited to review so I could test it. Glad I did because it worked fine for about six months then started sounding the alarm falsely every week or so. I have called and you get a voice mail but no return call yet after I left message requesting one. In directions it says battery is not replaceable and only lasts one year. Awful expensive for a mal functioning unit that only last one year.

I had the same problems as above, it keeps going off once a week,Can t be trusted.Don t buy it, had to return it. Got no help from the product manufacturer.
