It’s durable!!
It took me a while to write a review for this futon, it’s easy to assemble and durable. I really didn’t get to “break it in” but I got to break it in recently and it held up for a good 6 hrs, it was a little shaky but it didn’t break so that’s amazing

This is working out quite well! So far I'm happy with it. So much better than what i had.
The price was right. And although there are a few bad reviews, there are a lot of good ones. I also saw this frame recommended on another site that was reviewing futon frames, "The Sleep Judge." It was #5, but number 1 was too expensive, number 2 was another DHP frame that wouldn't work for me, number 3 and number 4 were twin size chairs and expensive, and then there was this one. So when i saw it went on sale, i got it. I'm glad I did. It's working out well.It took a while to put together, but i would not say it was difficult. There were a lot of screws. Just stay organized about it. (I used my own hex tool which made it a bit easier) There was one part where the picture didn't match very well to the product, and I ended up having to redo something, but it didn't take long. Just pay really close attention to the drawings.Because this futon frame is lightweight, I would not suggest it for anyone who might be giving it a lot of punishment. I would also suggest, contrary to what the top reviewer says, do not use a power screwdriver unless you are very careful. I had no problem using a regular screwdriver to install all the screws. They do say that when the futon is pulled out in bed mode not to sit or lie on the very edge. I would say that would be more of a problem for a heavier person, but it's an issue of balance. Since they don't know the weight of the person purchasing it, they make the warning. (again, this is a lightweight frame.)If you have a thick futon mattress with coils/foam that doesn't fold easily, then there is a learning curve to getting this to go back into the couch position. At first i thought I would never be able to do it. (I still would have been better off than the old frame I had). But after some experimenting and practice, I can get it folded every day in a matter of seconds and I'm a 5 foot 4 inch woman. You need to stand on the side of the futon where the arm rest is. Grab the top of the "backrest" part of the mattress and push it forward like your pushing the mattress into a folded position, then grab the seat part of the frame and pull up toward the "backrest" part of the mattress. If this doesn't pop the frame into couch position, then let go of the mattress and grab the "backrest" part of the frame and pull it toward the "seat" part of the frame so the seat and backrest of the frame are forming a "V", then rock the whole thing forward (toward the seat side) and it should fall into position. It works for me every day.

Does the job but hard to assemble.
I have had this for little over a year. I researched metal and wooden. Since I plan to move in few years I decided on metal. By the time I decided to order Amazon was offering the hire expert. So I agree with most other reviewers it is not easy assembly. Either set aside a day or so or hire the expert. I had just moved a long way and too tired to deal by myself. My expert was a retired engineer. I grew up building projects and repair cars with my dad and later on my own. So neither of us newbies. We got it together in a couple of hours and debating how some of pieces fit since instructions useless. So yes once put together correctly it is study.I got the 8" mattress with cover. You can't lower it with the mattress on it by yourself Either takes two people or take mattress off. It does sleep well with the mattress depending on what is your point of reference. It isn't going to replicate memory foam or traditional mattress. But it is soft and don't fill the frame. The mattress will slip down in sofa mode. As metal frame just laying the anti slip material on it won't work. It just slips with mattress. I finally figured the best way is to use twist ties to attach the grided anti slip to the frame. Only need to attach on the seat section. I twist tied the edges and up the middle. Now the mattress says in place and doesn't slip.I was disappointed that the two handle on the seat. One of the just broke off at the point where attached with screws. But then never found them useful either as handled or keeping the mattress in place.Overall, it as good as any metal frame I found in research. Provides a daily couch and extra bed for visitors. And don't want spend a lot. But get want pay for so manage your expectations.

I regret the 5* sturdiness. it IS, somehow.
First? I've never stripped an Allen wrench. i destroyed both ends of both of the included ones. The screws, themselves, are incredibly low quality. Many of the screws go to punctures in the metal (i use that word incredibly lightly)- you must bore your screw hole by hand. This creates a false sense of security: you WILL warp the frame by screwing things in, where the frame meets the hinges specifically. You will need a VERY specific sized phillips head. i forget how many i stripped before they were screwed in.i bought this for a full size inner spring futon. Standing six inches tall, the mattress itself is a heavy thing- fully assembled, my mattress rests nicely at knee height while in this frame. i can sit with my shins straight and my feet planted, even with my knee over where the handles are. unfortunately, it gets a perfect score for sturdiness. Lightness, too- fully assembled, a 5'7" desk worker could stand it up and carry it with little effort. that may change as the hinges wear in, and due to other parts concerns, i expect that to be VERY soon.i hate this frame. the arm rest material (tin?) is warped in that way that I associate with preschool furniture, and not a rounded square edge, as i'd imagined. my phone camera is awful, but you can see it in the reflection- they almost make a lazy W shape. there are also dents and bubbles in the silver (gloss coat?), almost like there's gunk between it and the actual frame. the edge, too, has an uneven corner- from a poor metal fold- on the side you see when sitting. I'm also very disappointed with the obtuse angle it forms when raised; I expected a straighter back. This replaced a wooden slat model that sat virtually on the floor, and it IS an improvement; I'm only keeping it because of the sheer hassle of taking it apart, finding another, and then putting that one together.

Buena compra
Cumplió con las expectativas, pero el colchón, solo hay una marca que da las medidas justas, las demás marcas se exceden por mucho.Colchón caro, de buena calidad si, espero dure tiempo.

Exactly as described and good quality
This metal futon frame came with detailed instructions and all of the hardware and tools needed to put it together except for a Philips head screwdriver. There is an offered link for assembly videos, but they were not needed. I followed each step carefully and the finished result is sturdy and good quality! The measurements were just as advertised and our old futon mattress fit it perfectly! (I did not buy the mattress from this company). The frame transitions smoothly from a seat to a bed and back. This product is well priced and well constructed!

Sturdy enough for light to medium use
Parts came well-packed and arrived without damage. No missing parts. Spare parts package (nuts and bolts) are included, but weren’t needed. The assembly tools (wrench and 2 x Allen/Hex key) are included, so all you *need is a manual screwdriver with a Phillips bit. (*Note: I could have/should have used a real wrench and Hex key to make it easier, as the included tools are small and lightweight).I assembled it by myself, and found the instructions easy to follow. The holes all matched-up decently. The mechanism to turn couch to bed worked well without the mattress, but once the mattress was on it was ridiculously difficult to change from couch to bed and back.I got the DPH 8” Independently Encased Coil Futon Mattress. This mattress is too heavy for this lightweight frame, so I would recommend a lighter mattress. The frame squeaks a little, but not badly. I plan to use it mainly as a couch with occasional use as a bed, so I think it will hold-up for a while.Overall, you do get what you pay for, so the price for this product’s quality is reasonable.
