Primal Beauty Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter, 500 g

My hair is very coily ("type 4c") and used to get dry very easily. This stuff has been amazing for my hair! And it smells gorgeous. It smells like chocolate - my friends say I smell good enough to eat!It's a nice and thick butter, with a smooth consistency and it spreads well. If it's cold, you might have to rub it between your fingers a bit to warm it up and to soften it before use.Before using this, my hair was dry, hard and crunchy. I would moisturise my hair, but it would feel dry and crunchy after about 1 to 2 days. After I started using this to seal the moisture in, my hair is soooooo soft now! I never knew my hair could be this soft! And it stays soft and moisturised for about 5 days.My process: I wash and condition my hair, then blot it half dry with a microfiber towel. While my hair is still damp, I apply a leave in conditioner and/or curling cream and wait a few minutes for it to soak in. Finally, as I twist my hair in medium or small twists (min 15, max 40 twists) I seal in the moisture by applying a small scoop of this shea+cocoa butter on each twist before I start. I then leave my hair to air dry.I get the most soft and juicy twists when using this product. I strongly recommend.

I bought this as an alternative to expensive pregnancy belly creams and love it. It's super easy to rub in, has a lovely smell and leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturised. It's an all round product, great on all skin especially any dry bits. Should last a while too as it's a large jar and you don't need a massive amount as a little goes a long way. I have quite sensitive skin and haven't reacted at all to this.

Having tried all kinds of beard balms, oils and waxes over the years I've always struggled to find one that's sensibly priced and does a good job. I suffer from eczema especially on my face so it's important to get one that helps with that too. Most good beard balms will contain cocoa or shea butter but charge you a greatly inflated price for a tiny tin with some funky artwork and a butched up name but that's all your paying extra for really. This stuff has lasted me ages so far! It keeps my ludicrously thick beard very soft and controlled whilst taking amazing care of my skin underneath. Plus I smell like chocolate - major bonus!

This is a large jar! I read the other review complaining that it wasn't a true 500g, but my opinion is - so what? - there's plenty of product in this large jar to last a really long time. And it smells really delicious! Very rich, can be greasy and hard to sink in if you apply too much, but would still recommend. A little goes a long way

I have tried this all natural alternative as my usual lotion stopped moisturizing my skin (sever chronic dermatitis - aka eczema), however my skin broke out, flaked, craqued, and itched... I wouldn't recommend using if you have skin issues (hyper reactive, allergic, skin condition..) other than just dry skinI will use it for my hair though :)this lotion has no significant smell and your skin stays very greasy. I would suggest applying an hour before bed so it doesn't stain bed-sheets ;)

Have been using this for a while now, what can I say. ..You get a lot in a jar, at first I thought in a jar?! But it make sense as easy recyclable.Once you get down to the bottom will need something to get it out- spoon.Has a scent to it like Palmers Shea butter but of course with out the paraffin. Referred in the past as light chocolate.I would prefer without a scent but it has grown on me. As I was using coconut butter that had no scent.Great valve for money and is a cream colour butter that melts in your hands. Natural is what I wanted and I put it on my face which can be reactive.

This is by far the best natural option for me. The cocoa butter is balanced with shea butter - shea butter is renowned for *not* clogging your pores. This is why i bought the mix of the two. Moisturise as much of your body as you can after a shower/wash and by the end of the day, your body will still have a dewy moisturised glow to it. Im 37 and love it. I use it on my face in combination with Poppy Austin Retinol cream (this I applyat night only), which contains green tea & vit e. I Also have mild eczema which it seems to help with. I liberally apply the shea/cocoa butter around my eyes. Sorts out those crows feet!

after using my mums I’ve been addicted ever since! The texture and the smell and how soft it makes your skin feel!!The smell is incredible like chocolate, the first time I bought it, it came broken and they didn’t do much about it and said it weren’t their fault! I suggest packaging it a bit better or maybe not using glass. Other than that I recommend I also use it on my 3 year old and 8 month old!! Amazing! ❤️
