Twang-A-Rita Classic Rimming Salt Tub, 7 Ounce Tub (Pack of 12)

I make margaritas at home and this salt tastes great! This package comes with a LOT to last you quite some time. I highly recommend it

I think the salt flakes are a little large for margarita's. The flakes are very thin, which is great, but still large enough that they don't stick well to the glass. I had hoped to keep a tub of this in the kitchen and just directly salt glasses in it, but now think that's not feasible. I now lightly grind the salt with my fingers into one palm, and rub the glass-rim through itI don't know if anyone else had shipping issues, but 2 of 12 tubs were completely cracked open when I unboxed (had to pitch all that salt since it was loose in the box). A 3rd tub was cracked along the rim, but didn't lose too much salt... I just transferred it to a baggie and am using it from that.

I puirchased 12 of these with the cocktail margarita glasses from Amscan with the intention of having people be able to salt their own glasses, doing so at the same time - however, the margarita glass rims were too large for the opening of the salt containers so we had to pour the salt into a plate....defeated my purpose of purchasing so many....anyone want some salt tubs??

It's salt alright... small, flakey grains, perfect for margaritas. While you can rim your glasses directly from one of these tubs, I highly recommend getting a two or three compartment rimmer.

Worked well for strawberry and regular margaritas.
