I bought this book for my grandchild. It's a very cute book with lovely illustrations! The story is age appropriate and is wonderful for the bilingual family. Ek het hierdie boek vir my kleinkind. Dit is 'n baie oulike boek met pragtige illustrasies! Die storie is van pas en is wonderlik vir die tweetalige gesin.

I love this book. I buy it for all of my bilingual loved ones with children. They make great baby shower gifts.

I bought it for a friend who wants to learn some Afrikaans. He got quite the kick out of it. Very cute.

Not much of a story to this book. Kept my daughter entertained for about 10 mins and then she was over it. The visuals has a lot of potential though.

Half of the pages in this book consists of information about the author and advertises his other books! That makes this book very short for the price. The language in it is very simplistic, there is no real story to the book....each turn of the oage just finds different ways of saying someone/something is small. I feel that the pictures used would be suited to older children than what the book's written content has been aimed for.All in all I don't appreciate paying £6.99 a book with piep klein content and half of which is a promotional pamphlet (that the child looking at this book would not be interested in). I could have bought a much more suitable book and translated more substantial content/a meaningful story into Afrikaans from the English myself.

amazing book to teach baby how to read in both english and afrikaans as both languages appear side by side. the pictures are great and the repetition of am i small gives the book a learning edge without being pushy. love it.

lovely pictures, really basic language (in English) and I think the nursery children will love it, whether they can speak English or Afrikaans (and are too young to read as well!)
