A must-read book that unmasks socialism
Highly recommended! I found this more relevant today than the other two related books in the Naked series, although both The Naked Communist and The Naked Capitalist create a comprehensive foundation for understanding how socialism is the wedge being used to weaken the United States. Every eligible voter should read this before voting in any future election.

This is too important to ignore!
This needs to be read before the next election. This book list both modern and ancient examples of socialism. I say this book is important to read because many have a distorted view of socialism. An example of that is utopia vision of John Lennon 's song "Imagined" . Did you know that song paraphrases the Communist Manifesto? What's wrong with that you ask? I'll tell you: Millions have died by socialism. (Communism is the final phase of Socialism, just read Lenin and Marx). This book also smashes the myth that socialism will take care of you. No it won't! It will take your money and your freedom! The book also talked how socialism ALWAYS leaves it's Country bankrupt! Honestly do you know anyone who flees a thriving Republic for socialist restraints?

Outstanding
I have read quite a few books on socialism in the last few years and this one ranks at the top. Skousen gives legions of examples throughout history of all of the socialistic societies and how they've all failed. He also explains in detail how socialism can never work, anywhere, and how it is the scourge of the world. At a little over 500 pages, this book is packed with information which made it a pleasure to read. As a bonus, at the bottom of nearly every page is a little anecdote or fact about socialism that makes the book even more enlightening. There is even a section of the book that serves as a refresher course of high school civics which everyone should read.Even though the majority of die-hard socialists are quite liberal, the book has many examples of progressive right-wingers who espouse socialism. This alone should convince most fair-minded readers that the book isn't a biased attack against Democrats. One final note: I would challenge anyone who reads this book (on either side of the aisle) to find any justification (or hope) for any of the policies that are being force-fed on America by the Obama administration.

Book needs to be updated, to include events since 2014...
Book needs to be updated, to include events since 2014. As it appears from this last election of 2020, there is now a socialist/ communist takeover of our blessed Unites States of America. Seemed to happen almost overnight. Would be interesting to know what this author thinks now.

A much needed tutorial!
This book is a much-needed tutorial of the ills socialism has caused in the world. Skousen's book details, from early history to present day, how utopian schemes work their way into society; and, rather than the good they claim to bring, reveal themselves as the Trojan horses they truly are. Utopian plans, you see, always sound fantastic on paper, but never work in the real world. Furthermore, this book details how so many of those pushing these ideals end up at the helm of an all-powerful centralized authority; namely, some kind of totalitarian government or ruling class. Each and every time, freedom has suffered. Skousen connects all the dots and makes it quite simple to watch this dangerous pattern unfold. Without a clear knowledge of this history, socialism rears its head again and again, in different lands, under different names, and within different cultures. Skousen makes it easy to spot the same, age-old trends in the hopes that our beloved nation would not fall into the same trap.A MUCH NEEDED read!

Succinct, Relevant, More Important Than Ever
A very important book, especially now. This book is broken down into easy-to-read sections, and the author has evidence to back up every single thing he claims. If you read nothing else in this book you MUST read Chapter 7: The Appeal of Socialism. The implications will turn your stomach.

Great second part of the Naked Trilogy
The "Learning to Recognize Socialism" quizzes are worth taking to help review the ideas from each chapter. Great summary of socialism; starting the third book "The Naked Communist" today!

Mandatory reading.
An indispensable view on the state of America, her decline that began right after the Declaration of Independence, all the players bent on turning her into a neverending nightmare and what it takes to bring her back to a course that will give generations to come a home and a base to spread the values that made her great to the world.
