San Diego Hat Co. womens Sun Hat

I do a lot of gardening and walking outside and this hat fits my needs. It is stylish and keeps the sun off my face. Great fit. I would purchase again.

This is the best sunhat for women with lots of hair or a bigger head because it is a Men's Hat and the proportions are larger than for a standard Women's hat, which also means you get a wider brim which provides more shade over your entire face and neck. I buy one or two every year and wear them almost every day, even in the pool. They can get wet with no problem. The brim gets a little floppy after plenty of wears and will need to be replaced with a new hat if you like a more rigid brim, which I do. I have 3 different ones I use right now; one for the pool, one for gardening, and one for going on errands that isn't stained or dirty. Very comfortable inside rim against the forehead, even when sweating buckets. Looks great. Feels great. Packed it flat for a vacation to Australia, had no problem with it packing. The only thing I noticed was that quality control is a little off and sometimes a hat will come with a pleated inside rim and this will make your forehead sore. If you get one of these, send it back because you won't wear it because it will hurt your head. I tried to contact the manufacturer about this problem, but got no response at all from them.

It's a nice hat with good quality and has the large brim I wanted for use as a gardening hat. However, it is a thick and heavy hat. I guess I'll get used to it.HOWEVER, the head sizing is way off. I'm disappointed that I have to stuff filler in behind the elastic headband to get the hat to stay still on my head and not fall off. I'm not the kind of person that enjoys sending stuff back.I race cars so, over the years, I have worn many helmets. I know exactly how big my head is! This is not a 7-1/8 or even a 7-1/4. I'd guess it's a 7-1/2. Duly noted!

Package arrived in a flimsy bag so the hat was squished and misshapen. The ability to not select size and the listing stating “one size” is not correct. The hat tag states “unisex medium” which fits my head fine. The hat isn’t a firm shape and the brim does not stand out completely straight but flops down. Would I have purchased the hat knowing these things? Probably not. Am I going to return it? No. My intention was to wear it out as a cute hat to protect me from the sun with dresses, etc. I don’t know that it’s that cute but I’ll probably wear it outside if I’m gardening or lounging by the pool. It’s alright.

. This hat is made for adventures in the sun! Beach trips, music festivals, climbing mountains and kayaking. Real leather cord keeps it in place. Unisex size aprox 59 with a 5 inch brim. Holds its shape without being stiff. I love it!!! After a skin cancer scare on my face, this is exactly what I needed to keep my face and shoulders out of the sun and still enjoy the outdoors.

The crown is not as tall as I had hoped, but it is adequate. The brim is very wide. It's almost too wide, even though I really wanted a wide brim. If the crown were deeper, the brim would be lower and then it might not feel too big. I'm going to try to stretch the crown and see if that helps the balance. Other than that, it is a very well made hat.

Bought this for my husband, but I love it too. Also have the women’s floppy sun hat which has a slightly larger brim. Can dress it up. I’m planning to wear it for destination wedding in Cabo:)

I was worried this hat would be to too big (wide). However, after bringing it along for my beach vacation in Punta Cana recently, I am so glad I chose to bring it along!- It covered my face and part of my shoulders/upper back/upper chest, which I think saved me from sunburn most days.- Got dipped in the pool/ocean during the day and was dry by the next day.- Was rolled and folded up in my luggage (4+hr plane ride both ways) and it retained its shape when I took it out again.- Didn't see anyone else on my trip with a similar hat, so it was a bit unique from those you see others wearing (if that matters to you).Would highly recommend this hat!
