A lesser known charmer from Disney's live action stable
I didn't really know what to expect from this children's film and honestly thought it might be a bit naff. If you're of a certain age you will probably have seen One of our Dinosaurs is Missing and Pete's Dragon, two of the better live Disney films, but generally, you think Disney, you think animation first. However, this film exceeded my expectations and was warm, funny and for a two hour film with a cat as the lead actually flew by. There's something in here for everyone too; some of the humour around betting was clearly aimed at the mums and dads. Visually, we were still of course a few years away from Amblin entertainment and ET but on the whole visuals were good, except for the stuffed cat in the air scenes later on which lets just say was unintentionally funny. On the whole though, good solid fun and a bit of an uncovered gem. I don't think I've ever seen it listed for TV in my 41 years on this planet.

Awesome. Just how i remember it and more. This is what made Disney a great film making company back in the day. Great viewing for all the family.

One of Disney's late 70's releases.madcap story of an alien doing a recce of earth.cast list of 1970's veteran regulars in American entertainment. The title says it all. Great family film.takes me back to Saturday movie mornings.

Good for any age
I first saw this Disney film when I was young and I found it magical ,now many years ahead still like the the movie but as I've seen it so many times the magic has gone a little .

There's always a silver lining to every cloud!
A brilliant film showing that not all aliens are here to kill and destroy. Ok, so it gets a bit goofy, but...it has laughs, excitement and it'll take you back to a (hopefully) simpler and happier time....childhood!

loved this film as a kid and it's still just a funny and a great film, even if you can see the wires :D
