The material of the cardigan purchased from Amazon is not as soft as the ones that I have purchased from the Barefoot Dreams website and Nordstrom. I had to send it back because it was a little stiff and had a strange odor. For the price, I would recommend just buying directly from the Barefoot Dreams site or Nordstrom.

I was glad this was heavier weight and thickness for winter but the terry like fabric doesn't justify the over $100 price. For this price you might be able to get cashmere, which would be equally soft, but look more luxe. This isn't a fabric I would wear to work. It looks almost like a bathrobe. It's cozy and warm though - and it has nice pockets so I'll keep it even though I think the price could be half.

I actually bought this for a friend of mine who is in her final stages of cancer. She is always cold and chilled. Several layers of clothing is cumbersome and frustrating for her. I purchased this for her and she LOVES!!!! it. She said it just wraps her in a soft comfortable way that nothing else has! Worth every penny to know that it keeps her warm and makes her feel "cozy". I order either L or XL typically, but being a bit pear shaped and wanting the sweater to close for sure at the hip I ordered an XL. Also this sweater can be machine washed and dried on low and I did not want the tiniest bit of shrinkage to alter the fit. The sweater fits comfortably with plenty of room. Not a sloppy fit at all fits beautifully. Very forgiving style. Very neat and classy looking. I was concerned the black might leave dark lint on white or light t-shirts but not at all. I have not washed it yet but from other reviews I hear it launders beautifully as well. For a size reference... I typically wear 14/16 in tops and 16/18 for pants.

I’ve never written a scathing review. This sweater is TERRIBLE. I bought it after testing the waters with two Barefoot Dreams dusters - which I adore.This sweater - I gentle washed it, air dried it, and then put it on for a cross country flight. It shed EVERYWHERE. On the shirt I wore under it, on my leggings, on my seat, up and down on my neighbors arm on the plane, on the bedding in my hotel room - copious amounts of black fuzz everywhere and in everything. It’s now in a bag to go back home where I will be returning it.

Be true to your size ladies. I got a large and it fits perfect! I'm 5' 7" and 188 lbs. the arms fit just right...but if you like looser/wide sleeves go bigger. The length ends just under my butt. Which is what I wanted! The material is just heaven. I washed it in COLD WATER. I popped it in the dryer on LOW for 5 MINUTES just to get a little heat on it. Then lightly pulled on the sleeves length and width, lightly pulled from collar to end, hung/draped it on my bathroom towel bar to dry. It's still super soft and same length!!! Take care of your expensive purchases or don't bother buying it.

I bought this very expensive sweater as a friend had bought this brand at Nordstrom and liked it. I wore it several times and it was fine until washed. I hung it up and didn’t notice until I went to wear it again. My T-shirt and jeans were covered in black fuzz. So disappointed! Don’t know how to get all the fuzz off and my husband doesn’t want me to wash it again as afraid it will clog washer/dryer.

This is a beautiful sweater. The material is so cuddly and soft, but it still drapes really nicely and doesn't feel sloppy. I do feel that it runs a bit small. I ordered the XL for my mom (she is normally a Large but I wanted this to be roomy and cozy), but it fits a little bit tighter than I thought it would. She loves it though, and wears it all the time. Thinking about ordering this for myself!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my wife, who absolutely loves this style of cardigan. I was swayed by a blog ranking the best cardigans on the market. I now suspect it was just a coyly disguised corporate marketing ploy. Product quality does not warrant price. Beware of the additional costs to both send and to return!
