Profoto B10 AirTTL, Off Camera Flash and Continuous Light

Terrific light head with a beautiful quality of light even without a modifier. Constant color, fast recycle with the ability to shoot while charging are great features. Controls are simple and intuitive and it’s great to control it with the app via Bluetooth. TTL metering is a nice touch for quickly getting exposure close. I do wish the app would trigger the flash for when I want to meter though. Works seamlessly with my A1x’s and substantially more powerful.

I love my new B10. I live in a small apartment, and currently am growing a commercial photography business from home and studio rentals. This light is small enough to store in my cupboard, without taking up a lot of space. It fits easily into my camera bag - like carrying another lens.The app is very convenient for controlling the light, especially when the soft box is high up. I don't have to lower the light every time I want to change the settings - I just have to change it via the app.The continuous light is fairly strong, and the ability to change the temperature is convenient.I also LOVE the feature of being able to have my lights plugged in while using them. This was the selling point for me. I love not having to worry about my battery dying in the middle of a long studio shoot.The only suggestion I would give is for the knob that you tighten and loosen to adjust the angle of the light. Sometimes the knob gets turned very tightly. Because there isn't a handle to grip, it can be difficult to loosen the knob when it's very tight. There's a way you can hold the attachment to the light so it acts as a handle, but it's a bit counterintuitive.Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase. I've had this light for about 3 months, and look forward to many years of use.

what can i say I love this flash except for the battery it keeps falling apart I've been through three of them in less than two months

I have B1X's and 2x B2 Kits and i tried to make sense of why i still have my B2's. The B10 does it all and its half the size (about a 70-200 lens size) and way more functional than my B2's. I'll save the numbers on the data sheet for you to review but as for me an event photographer being able to put this anywhere and have it remotely configurable is key to it's the success in my workflow. It's a profoto so its great lighting and color consistency blah blah but where it shines is its light, powerful and most importantly it can be plugged in for all day shooting. No more giant battery pack or short cables. Its part of the OCF family so all my modifiers worked and the battery does a good job but who cares I can plug it in and shoot!So why only 4 stars!! because the phone app is only on IOS and I'm not an Apple guy so the app is worthless. But I wanted it so bad I got an ipad just for it :(UPDATE:They have the app for android and it works great. But i'm leaving it at 4 stars maybe even 3 because of one silly thing. The damn mount adjustment wheel. Profoto has been doing this lately picking design over form as if their engineers are not actually using this stuff out in the field. The wheel or lever on the mount to move it up and down is IMPOSSIBLE to use due to it's non grip sleek design. They have updated it and you can buy the new one but the original mount sucks. I have wrapped with with grip tape just so i can actually turn it. When you first get it, it works but after some use it becomes too slick

Fast recycling in 1 second. 400 full power flashes per battery. Only bad thing is way expensive. Just the battery is 200 bucks. Works great with all OCF mods.

This unit was used in PPA class by a pro commercial photographer. I am pro as well. This unit is genius. For lighting areas and stacking for interior lighting mounted to a mic boom with an Acts box is brilliant. When shooting food the built in molding light is a help. Very light and mobile with built in battery make this thing better than any speedlight. This wireless sensor is an issue very close to the camera but that's not the best use of this light. It is professional quality and of valuable use to pros and amateurs alike. That other (bad) review is just an opinion based on a narrow use. 2 days ago I watched this light in use for 8 hours by a pro in a room full of pro photoggers. Flawlessly.
