This is a good alarm clock. I like the settings which allow the alarm to be a variety of nature sounds, so I don't have to wake up to an startling buzz. It can also be set to wake me up with just increasing level of light, which works well. It works well and I've had no issues with it over the last several months.The only thing I didn't like was the brightness of the face. It can be adjusted down, but is still too bright for my taste. I attached transparent red plastic to the face to dim it more.

The colored lights are nice option, and the settings are simple enough to figure out if you read the directions. I do have to cover the front because its too bright at night. The bird sounds are just...a repeat every like 5 seconds so that gets real annoying, but it does wake you up! I was bummed because from the description, I thought it was portable but the batteries only cover the basic alarm noise and the time. The lights and nature sounds won't work with just the batteries, it has to be plugged into the wall. Its a somewhat pleasant little clock, but kinda cheaply made for the amount you pay. The speakers aren't very good.

A little tough to figure out at first- keep the instructions handy! My 9yr old daughter likes the lights, though, and really likes waking up to the birds. Good purchase.

Great concept, but VERY difficult to use. I had to pull out the manual every time I needed to change something (time, alarm setting, etc). When I lost the manual (after having it for over a year), I had to throw away the clock. If you can figure it out (I am well-educated and I couldn't), it works very well!

It took me a long time to learn how to set the time and alarm. Just not very user friendly. As far as the design I love it. Had to go online to get the user manual.

My 6 year old niece loved this as a gift and her brother, of course, wanted one too! My sister loves the fact that she gets up for school on her own now with the alarm.

The cue for the two-star rating is, "I don't like it." Let's be clear, I would like to like it. I really would. What keeps me from giving it five stars is four separate issues.First, the dial is inappropriately bright for a bedroom, to the point that I finallly smothered the thing in a piece of cardboard and the sleeve of an old, dark fleece jacket after the clock spent its first night "on duty" UNDER my bedside table.Second, the instructions are clear for some functions, and maddeningly obtuse for others. Steps are skipped or assumed, and the result is that if you do not wish this item to wake you to birdsong at six AM, you have a long uphil battle ahead of you. (The birds recorded very, very clearly gave up being dinosaurs several generations after everybody else's birds did.)Third, the little bulbous protusions on either side of the dial are nearly as bright as the dial itself.And, down to one star we go: it also has a "light leak" in the back, where perforated plastic covers the speakers. This too has to be covered.So really, is it worth what's being asked for it? If you have a taste for a challenge and the patience of a saint, maybe. Otherwise, spend your money elsewhere.

The sound was not good. The alarm clock seems too cheap.
