Exquisite Flowers: Color. Dream. Create.

I'm surprised by the sparsity of reviews on this book. It is one of my absolute favorites. First, the illustrations range from simple to complex, but you can make them as complex as you wish, depending on shading, color choice, etc. Secondly, it is extremely forgiving. I love using markers in this book. It will take all types, alcohol-based, watercolor based, India ink, and whatever else you can think of and will not bleed through to the next page, although I always do put up blotter paper behind it just to be safe, although it's never been necessary. Markers to not bleed outside the lines. The metallic backgrounds repel any mistakes you might make in coloring over the lines and also just make for a beautiful finish. And no matter what color choices I've made or mistakes I have done, the outcomes still are extremely beautiful.I have removed pages from this book and kept pages in. I've had no problems with the binding being too loose or pages falling out. Perhaps I've gotten really lucky with that.All in all, although I have way too many coloring books, this is my favorite go to when I want to feel like I've created something beautiful and I know I can make mistakes and still be OK. Considering the price, the quality of the paper and the beautiful designs, which you can either keep in or take out, I feel that it was absolutely worth the money. I have purchased other coloring books which were not that much less expensive and have been disappointed in the paper quality or the designs. I'm just waiting for the next release by this artist.

Nice well designed color book with lots of floral designs. The pages are really thick so there is no need to tear them out to color the page. Each page is trimmed in a gold-like or silver- like outline. I think with this book I'm over my need for any more floral design books since there are so many in this book. It was a little pricey as I try to stick with the under $10 range for these books, but it's so beautiful I could not resist. I only wish the pictures were a little smaller, they are huge floral designs so you will need larger diameter markers unless you want to color the same area with a fine point for 10 or more minutes.

Beautiful book, clear pictures on one side of page, which is very nice. . Also the pages are thick and don't stick together. I can't wait to get started.

This book is beautiful! I am taking "Blooming Doodles" classes online and this book provides just what I need for the classes!! Has a huge variety of outlined flowers and they are large and clear. The book is big and heavy. Great purchase.

Compared to the artists companion book "Magic Garden", this book has much more detail. Although I have to say, it is still rather simplistic, but the paper quality is excellent as is the very interesting metallic colored background pages. I colored a few pages and find the book attractive and worth keeping.

Like this book very much. I am especially fond of the format and drawings. However, the real kicker is the different metallic colors chosen for the backgrounds. The finished pictures are magnificent.

Love this book. I love all the unique designs and the nice thick paper. I use sharpen markers and it works well. The hard cardboard covers are handy to use to back the pages.

It's too bad that i can't rate this book higher because the designs are gorgeous however the pages fell out within the first hour. the binding is terrible. Very very disappointed.

This is a beautiful book - almost too nice to colour ! I don't think pencil works as well as markers. The backgrounds are all completed in a lovely bronze or gold background. Large and small(er) designs, there is something for everybody. The pages seem to come away from the book easily but this is a good point if they are to be framed.

El libro es precioso. la calidad del papel es bastante aceptable, podrás usarlo hasta con acuarelas. La tapa es muy gruesa, como de cartón grueso. Y que todos los fondos estén pintados de color oro o plata o bronce claro es precioso. Todos los dibujos son de flores, pero distintos. Lo único realmente malo es que las hojas estaban pegadas y al abrir la tapa se van arrancando una a una. Vamos, que no tengo un libro tengo un cúmulo de hojas que se van arrancando solas, pero no importa.

Carton très épais. Facilite le coloriage avec crayons feutres à pointe fine, moyenne et epaisse. Très beau produit. Dessins magnifiques.

I like the metallic backgrounds but the book falls apart as soon as you open - the pages pull apart too easily. I was thinking of gifting but could not because of that reason.
