Avia Avi-Union II Non Slip Shoes for Women - Lace Up Comfort Women's Work or Walking Sneakers, Medium or Wide, Black or White

I want to start by saying, this is a nice looking, very comfortable, and a perfect fitting shoe. I've worked in the food industry for 30+ yrs and since the early 90's have been in management, as my go to shoe was definitely shoes for crews! I've very recently decided to leave the management scene and step back for more simple work life. I found a job more casual dress and was so excited when I could where something other than Black shoes! I found these white sneaker style avia brand, (and yes, slip and oil resistant) for a nice price being I didn't want to pay high dollar for shoes for crews. Long story short..first day wearing them, I stepped into the kitchen to turn on fryer.. and Wow...I slid!! Now mind you this is first thing in the morning on clean floor (I'm sure there was some oil residue) but still...the later part of my day got worse when I had a major fryer ordeal and my whole kitchen was covered in oil from the fryer!! That was a total nightmare as I could hardly clean it up due to sliding everywhere, I could hardly walk!! So if you deal with any kind of oil this is definitely not your shoe! I will keep the shoe instead of returning as like I said very comfortable and nice looking...but for work, it's back to shoes for crews for me!!!

Very comfortable for a waitress, not safe for a line cook!!! Not slip resistant at all in a restaurant kitchen. But slip resistant on hard wood floors. I wore these shoes for a 15 hour waitress shift (for the first time), and my dogs were not barking AT ALL throughout my entire shift! I had a back up pair of shoes just in case, and never thought about changing. Very comfortable. The size runs a little big, but I had 2 pairs of socks on (to avoid breaking-in blisters) and they fit well. Again, DO NOT WEAR IN A KITCHEN... you will slide everywhere!

I am on my feet over 12 hours at work at least 3 days a week. I must say these shoes are so very comfortable. I have bought several pair of shoes just trying to find a comfortable work shoe.

I bought these 3 and a half months ago to wear to work in an elder care facility where i am on my feet all day. I go through lots of shoes and am always looking for ones that are comfortable and slip resistant. I decided to try these because they were a little cheaper than the Sketchers I normally wear. You do get what you pay for. They are fairly comfortable. I haven't had any problems with slipping like some other reviews mentioned. However I'm already noticing worn areas around the heels and both soles are starting to pull away from the rest of the shoe. I will pay more for the better brand next time around..

I’ve been wearing Avi-Union shoes for working in a restaurant for years. Decent support, good slip resistance and last a reasonable amount of time for the price. HOWEVER... these “li” series SUCK!! Uncomfortable and definitely not the same sole... I might as well strap on a pair of ice skates in the freezer!! Numerous close calls of falling on my butt. Even slick on just wet tile. Never had a problem with the original. If Avia doesn’t get the original back in my size I will have to search for a new brand. If you’re trying to save money ($12 cheaper than original when I bought) by getting the “li”... DON’T!! You’ll regret it.

Well... 1) they didn't come in the original shoe box. I didn't mind but it did make me wonder what happened to the original. 2) They have already busted... In less than a month technically from the date I received them. 🤦🏾‍♀️ Work shoes are soooo hard to find that last longer than 6 months.

Day 1 August 26 2019 Just opened the box and slipped into my new Avia's women work shoes. Most comfortable show thus far. I have never purchased this name brand before so I'm stoked. The shoe really looks nice for a work shoe and for these reasons (comfort - exact size/fit and width, look - style and rubber sole) I gave a 5 star. I have to break them in a couple days on the job and see if they support my feet and back, stay comfortable, AND last. I have had to replace my work shoes every 3-4 months because the sole (other material) break down (outer back heels and under my toe line) SO I do hope these last longer. I will return to update.

I have wore sketchers non slip work shoes for the past 23 years , over the past year sketchers seem to be a little tighter around my toes making my pinky toe hurt by the end of the day.( couldn't find a style of sketchers in wide that I liked). Seen theses on Amazon thought for the price I would try them ,they were delivered within two days I tried them on wore them all day I ordered size 9 but did not order wide hoping they would have a little more room that sketchers and I love them , they are so comfortable, don't cram my toes together, don't hurt my feet in any way. So decided the next week I will keep wearing them for everyday shoes and I ordered another pair for work.

if ordering a 9 wide I would go 9 1/2,I'm so use to 9 wide shoes now I can tell they are a little smaller which is disappointing,and if wearing them in the food industry where there is fryers and grease,be careful,not slip resistant at first,I had to put flour on the floor,now they are ok,disappointed in that cause I have ordered non slip before with no problems

They were comfortable and fit well . I bought September 2nd and it's only 5 months I have to buy a new pair of non slip work shoes. I will not buy again . After 3,5 months they have holes worn in the SIDES. I ORDERED WIDE 8.5. I work full time in long term care dietary. The non slip worked . I gave them a try thought I could save money but going back to my old faithful New Balance non slip for 120. They will last 11 months

I started wearing these shoes at the beginning of February and the anti slip grip is completely wore off the left shoe as well as the left shoe has already split away from the sole.I work part time so there is no excuse the shoe should be in this condition. I have had different brands before and they have lasted almost 2 years!I will not buy this product again and highly suggest you don’t waste your money.

I ordered it a size too small. Look avias though.

Very comfortable! I am on my feet for 8+ hours a day and my feet are comfortable for the entire time!
