I grew up to the sounds of AIO in my Walkman, so I was excited to share it with my kids on our recent road trip. My only minor complaint is that the first two stories aren’t exactly attention grabbers for new listeners. My kids were reluctant, but since they were a captive audience they had to listen to more and eventually were hooked!They are definitely working from a conservative Christian worldview, and they don’t shy away from difficult topics like death. We had to pause to explain or discuss a few things to my kids (age 5 and 6). Nothing inappropriate, just difficult real life topics.Overall, a great starter set to introduce or re-introduce you to Odyssey (maybe just play the first disc out of order)!

We were familiar with the series from the radio and decided to order the set before a long road trip. Our kids enjoyed the stories, as did we. Several things it might be worth noting:- this is a collection of "highlights" from over the years. They include a wide variety of 'styles' in story-telling and themes. The package gives the title and theme of each story, but you really don't know what type of story it will be until you listen to it. (- it seemed like a lot (5 or more) stories were about death or serious health issues (coma). Some were fictional, some from history. In at least two stories, a child die. Another story features a child whose parents were killed in an accident. Perhaps these were especially well-written, well-received or memorable, but we hadn't expected so many 'heavy' stories.- a few of the stories were very silly.. An earlier reviewer commented on the sibling rivalry she was offended by; this does not feature strongly in most of the stories. Perhaps she's referring to a story on the first CD that is comical.- there are several stories from the Bible and from history that are "animated" in this set, including one patriotic (USA) story.Most of the stories were copyrighted in the early 90s.

What kid does not love to listen to stories. My grandchildren love to listen to these every night when going to sleep, traveling, or while playing. Kid friendly, teachs lessons, and most of they learn about the Bible. Recommend

Awesome stories for our road trip..

Over the last few months my children have become big fans of Adventures in Odyssey. This audio collection is some of the best. The stories are well animated and keep our kid's attention. Each episode teaches a moral lesson and many of them teach about history. My kids ask as soon as we get in the car to start the next one. Just to note, our order messed up and Amazon accidently duplicated our order and we ended up with 2 of them. I had intended to send the 2nd one back but after listening to the first few episodes I gave the extra one to a friend who has younger children. It's good stuff!! My kids are 4-8 years old but older children would enjoy it to. It is entertaining for the parents too.

I grew up listening to Adventures in Odyssey & loved the stories. My son (6 years) likes to listen to stories rather than music while he goes to sleep so I got these for him. He really likes listening to them. They're still fun to listen to as an adult too!

Bought as a present for our son.He loves the Odyssey stories and this is a great collection.

My 7 year old loves these stories and has not only learned about the bible but history as well.They are fabulous

My child loves these & even my baby actively listens to them. I found the quality of audio drama, sound effects, CDs themselves, & packaging is incredable.This box set however is challenging to open when driving (we listen to them on family trips driving across the country).
