Blue Alpha Gear 1.5 Hybrid Cobra EDC Belt (Black, 40 (Pant Size))

This is the best every day carry belt on the market today! I had initially gotten one of their Cobra belts to replace my old edc belt, but the hybrid is even better. Easy on, easy off. No longer do you need to remove one end of the buckle to wear the belt. What an innovation! This belt is stiff enough to comfortably support all my edc gear. ( Llod appendix rig, mag carrier, knife, and light). Yet, it is thin and flexible enough to be comfortably worn all day, every day. Oh, did I mention it was comfortable? 😉 I am a combat veteran, and carry daily. It really takes a lot to impress me, and I am impressed! I highly recommend this belt. Here are a few pics of Blue Alpha Gear's Cobra belt, their Hybrid Cobra, and my old edc belt, an Ares Aegis. You can see all three belts, the Blue Alpha Gear Cobras on top, the Ares Aegis on bottom, the old style Cobra and the Hybrid Cobra, and a side by side comparison of belt thickness. The gray Blue Alpha Gear belt is on the left and the black Ares Aegis is on the right. You can see how much thinner the Blue Alpha Gear belt is compared to the Ares Aegis. That translates to lighter, more flexibity but without sagging or twisting, and more comfort when worn. Like I said, I can wear this all day and it feels comfortable all day. Best of all, it's made here in the USA. As soon as payday rolls around, I will get at least one more of these in a different color. Try one. You won't be sorry!

The best part of this belt is the buckle. Hands down the best buckle I have on any belt. The Buckle gets 5 stars. The belt on the other hand is fairly thin and a little flimsy depending on your load out. My heaviest load I would carry is; Glock 17, 2 mags a flash light and knife. This will put a sag or dip in the belt. If you are Batman, this belt is not for you. The belt is excellent if you are just carrying say a Glock 43 or a similarly lighter load. At 70.00 I expected a little more rigidity. I will continue to use a duty belt for heavier loads and use this belt for my typical g43/g19 carry days which are the majority. I do understand that the thickness of the belt is probably a positive for most people.Photo shows the Hybrid EDC and a Kydex core EDC belt. Only slightly thicker yet far more sturdy and rigid.

UPDATE: I woke up the next day to an email from Blue Alpha. Tara told me that the grey belt was on the way. This is the kind of customer support that makes all of the difference. Thanks Tara and Blue Alpha!I just received this belt today. I thought I ordered the wolf grey, which is the color I really wanted, but I received the black one. I gave it 5 stars because I’m not sure whether they sent the wrong color or if I accidentally ordered the wrong color. I’ve heard that Blue Alpha has really good customer service and support, so I emailed them this afternoon asking if I can exchange it, hopefully I’ll hear back from them tomorrow. However, even if I get stuck with a color that I didn’t order, I’d still be happy with this purchase. I’ve owned a couple of different belts that I’ve used for ccw uses, mostly the 511 types, which for the most part will do the trick. As soon as I pulled this belt out of the package, I could tell that it was a quality product. Most people purchase these belts for IWB, AIWB or other tactical purposes, if they’re anything like me, they won’t be disappointed. I work in LE, therefore I’m required to be armed at all times. Carrying a firearm when I’m off work is a task if I don’t have the right holster, belt and other required apparel. I could tell as soon as I put this belt on and strapped my IWB holster and weapon on that this isn’t even the same ballgame as the other less expensive belts I’ve owned up until this point. This belt is MUCH more convenient and comfortable than the once’s I’ve used before this one. The female end of the hybrid cobra buckle easily goes through the loops on my jeans, it’s easier to get on and off than any of the others I’ve used. I’m sold on this belt and I’ve only had it for one day. I don’t usually review a product like this until I’ve had time to use it for a week or more, but WOW, this belt is nice and so comfortable. Yah.. 5 Stars, even in the wrong color.

Like other Blue Alpha Gear belts, this is top quality. Plenty stiff for supporting a full sIze pistol and other EDC gear; however, if you are thinking about buying this belt because you believe it is too much trouble to remove the buckle on other Blue Alpha Gear belts don't bother. Yes, the smaller buckle passes through belt loops, but it will not pass through 1.5" loops on most OWB holsters so you will still have to remove the buckle to thread gear on. I gave it 5 stars because it does everything well, but for the money I would rather have the non-hybrid Blue Alpha Gear belts with the standard Cobra buckle.I own both and can truthfully say that this company makes a top notch product regardless of which belt you decide to purchase.

Very impressed with this belt. I looked at a lot of different belts, but they all had a lot going on and more than I really needed. This belt is simple, easy to use, works with all of my pants, and holds my gun securely while keeping good retention on my holster clips. The female side of the cobra buckle is smaller and fits through all of my belt loops, which is a huge advantage that I haven't seen on other belts. I have three different holsters I use for everyday carry, and this belt works great with all of them.The only negative comment I have are in regards to the male side of the cobra buckle. The way the belt is threaded through the buckle pushes it away from your body, which prints on my shirt a lot. If I am appendix carrying I can't leave the buckle front and center in the traditional location. This can be compromised by moving the buckle to one side or the other, but is still a complaint of mine.Overall an awesome belt. I highly recommend it because of it's simplicity and for the hybrid buckle that fits all pants.
