Foreigner: Live at Deer Creek
I just happened to go to that performance at Deer Creek. (I live in Indy and it is now known as the Verizon Wireless Music Center).Anyway I was hoping to buy this DVD just for the sake of posterity, the concert was fantastic. But.... after viewing this recording I felt robbed. The music is OK but the buck stops there. I mean, when you actually saw them preform and then you view this horrible rendition of one of Rocks Greatest Bands of all time, it leaves you pretty empty. No sense adding whats already been said in the previous reviews since I concur with the others totally. They really screwed up what was a remarkable performance. Gramm gave one of his best live efforts at this venue. Just something worthy of note..... Music almost lost one of its greatest voices not long after Foreigner preformed there in 1993. Roughly 4 years later in 1997 Gramm became seriously ill with a brain tumor, thankfully he recovered from it, but the radiation therapy, the medications he had to take had damaged his pituitary gland and affected his his voice as well. It took a toll on his overall physical condition(he gained huge amount of weight) Sorry to say he will never be the same again. He still preforms with a new group but he isn't the man we all remember. But by the grace of God he is lucky to be alive today. [...]

Evolution of a Band
I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this product, since I'd read both good and bad about it. But I've loved Foreigner for years, and had seen clips from this tour on YouTube. I was pleased with the overall quality of the production, and enjoyed seeing how Foreigner evolved in terms of performance between the Feels Like the Very First Time video and this one. Whatever water may have gone under the bridge during those years, this performance was top-notch, and both Gramm and Jones seemed to be happy to be back out there live.Gramm's voice was always unique and recognizable; I'm one of those fans who enjoyed it even more as it matured, and as his delivery became richer and more nuanced. And yes, both as performer and songwriter, he could still rock you down to your shoetops. That's worth the price and more. Thanks to Foreigner for all the music through the years, and especially to Lou for hanging in there. I'd go see Lou without Foreigner, but not Foreigner without Lou. That's just how it is.

Mick and Lou together and fabulous!
"Live at Deer Creek" is an absolute must for Foreigner fans. Lou and Mick reunited during the LA riots and their opening interview is just a joy. The concert is filmed artfully and the magic in the music is sparkling. Lou's vocals are from the heart and soul. Heartbreaking to know that a few short years later, Lou suffers through brain surgery and the aftermath. But here, you are transported with Foreigner -- both vintage and contemporary in sound and stage presence. "That Was Yesterday" is just phenomenal starting with Mick on keyboards and cutting to Lou with beautiful camera work; the lighting and the night sky. Lou is buff, strong and having fun. Mick is amazing on keyboards and guitar. The rest of the band is in synch and the whole performance is mesmerizing. When the gospel group comes on stage for "I Wanna Know What Love Is," the energy ramps up even more and the guys are just enjoying the moment! Enjoy these shining moments from one of the best rock bands ever!!!!

Almost perferct, and with Lou Gramm
It appears that the great group Foreigner had to replace Lou Gramm, their longtime lead singer with the unique voice. He broke away and became a separate performer. In getting a Foreigner DVD, I insisted upon getting one with the great original Lou Gramm. If you feel the same way, then this disk is your best, if not only, choice. Here, Lou does all the great hits, and Foreigner's album of hits stands up as well as anyone's. The DVD is not perfect, as no concert can be perfect when compared to the studio recording which is indeed perfect. Still, this disk has everything you would want in a Foreigner work and as such is a great bargain.

Great performance but video editing and quality is poor..
Great performance by Lou Gramm and the band. With that being said, it is such a pity that this concert isn’t released on blu ray..the biggest problem i have is with the video footage quality and editing, the video editing leaves alot to be desired..whats up with the bluish colour footage effects, the footage is like a grainy VHS quality footage.Such a wasted release for a great concert.

This is by far the best Foriegner dvd available
This is by far the best Foriegner dvd available, if you are a Lou Gramm fan look no further. I first saw them back in 77' at anaheim. and through the years being my favorite band. the 96' rev it to the redline tour at blockbuster in Devore Ca was the last foriegner concert I attended. This might be Lou at his best. All the hits are here, 'That was yesterday' is unbelivable! You can go to youtube an search live at deer creek to get a preview, but listen through some good headphones to hear the excellent audio quality. I highly recommend.

muscians not actors
After reading several reviews (mostly negative) I feel obligated to make a comment. This is the first time I have come across a live performace that far exceeds the studio recordings. I purchased this DVD solely for the music not for photo-editing. Lou Gramm showed not only that he still had it he has actually improved. Mick Jones is still "note" perfect. But the outstanding performance was the magic Scott Gilman pumped out of his sax. Through out the concert Scott went back and forth from guitar to sax and made the sax join Mick Jones' guitar and Bruce Turgon's bass as a steady background for the vocals and instrumentals. One final note, as far as I'm concerned the price of the DVD was worth it just to watch and listen to Scott Gilman's sax solo.***** 5 starskieranshea

FANTASTIC PERFORMANCE!!!
The DVD bought was region 1 so I gambled as I live in UK. It played perfectly on my XBOX 360 console. The show, perfomance and band were absoloutely fantastic; however I feel slightly disappointed as the show appears to have been edited (the talking in between songs) and there producers have got a bit excited with the effects.Being one of their youngest fans at 18, I can only dream of being at the concert; this is the next best thing, so I suggest you buy it, it is a sound investment
