Great image quality and clean professional design
I've never heard of this brand before, still can't find much on WIMAXIT in Google outside of Amazon or Ebay. However, I've been really impressed with it so far.I got it in replacement of a HP U160 that I've had for for nearly 6 years. It held up to my numerous travels and the screen was finally starting to show lines in the image. The vinyl was also worn but I wasn't overly concerned with it until the lines appeared. The overall design of the WIMAXIT is nicer than the U160 it's replacing. Monitor to monitor, it's just over .25" thinner. With the cover, it's just slightly less than .25" thinner. The width is an inch less and about a half inch less in length, so overall, when the WIMAXIT is layed on top, it is obviously smaller. The cover is of a fabric like texture that looks as though it will last and wraps around similar to a resume portfolio. That same cover doubles as the stand like the U160 which is what I was looking for.Video quality is nice as well, although I would like to be able to brighten the screen more since I look at it at an angle, it's decent to work with. Having the USB-C as the video and power is ideal and works well with my HP Spectre.Overall I'm stoked and with design and quality for a brand that I'm unfamiliar with, so I'm happy for the only 2 reviews that were here that helped me decide on it.

Love the monitor ... Read all Amazon product info as packaged instructions lacking, but ... fear not
It works great with my HP laptop. I almost didn't buy it because one of the reviews said it couldn't be used with an HP laptop with a data-only C. It will work with that configuration or no USB C at all. The screen comes with the cables you need to overcome this, and a USB power adapter, too. Just use the HDMI to HDMI cable for display and and the USB A to C cable for touch and power. On Amazon the vendor has added this as a FAQ under Product Description. Instructions for the various controls are also there as a PDF under Product Guides and Documents.(I hope the reviewer also discovered how to do this later. Without that review, I wouldn't have checked with the vendor.)

So far mostly happy, better than I was expecting.
Knowing the external monitor like this usually aren't very bright and colors temd to be a bit washed out, this display surpassed my expectations.Display:I haven't tried other portable monitors yet, but usually people mention they temd to be a bit dimmer than optimal and the colors are just ok. I find that max brightness is sufficient and better than I was expecting. The colors out of the box where a bit washed out and in some games (Anthem) very dark and unpleasant in other games not as dark and fine. Once I discovered how to access the menu system (no manual included), I was able to fix this and very pleased with the colors. How to access the: There is a control wheel on the right hand side a single press bring up a green cross-hair in the center of the panel. A long press brings up the menu/settings OSD. I set color effect was set to photo which is where I left it. Games, movie where among the options but games had very dull colors. It might offer some advantages for gaming, but I didn't really notice so set it back to photo. Temperature was set 7600k and there where several other option including sRGB. I set it to sRGB.I haven't noticed a input lag or ghosting, but that may depend on what your used to, I'm not really sure.In the end after playing with the settings it looks better and I'm happy with the results.Inputs:On the left side there is a HDMI input towards the bottom. Obove the HDMI there is a USB-C port used for power, Data/Touch screen and video (if supported). At the top there is an additional USB-C port for power only. It does bring wall charger for power, but can be powered over USB as long as it supplies enough power. My Surface go will power the display, support touch input and video over a single USB-c cable. My desktop will not output video over it's USB-C so HDMI is also required. My small ITX build with an RTX 2080 Ti will work with a single cable though the 2080 Ti's USB-C (Displaylink). UPDATE: just tried again the the Surface Go not connect and disconnects from the display making it unusable with out additional power via the power USB-C port.I have to plug in the Surface Go first, then when it struggles to connect plug in the external power. My surface go recently received a firmware update and a Windows update, im not sure if one or both of those is the reason I'm having issues now that I didn't have at first. Updating Windows on my Surface Go right now to see if that helps. SADELY most recent update didn't help, it still behaving as if it not getting enough power supplied vis the Surface Go's USB-C port. ;(So if you USB-C port dosen't support DP the HDMI cable will be needed, not a big deal to me.As long as I connect it with the center USB-C input touch works with all my devices, including my Note 9 in phone and Dex mode.I ordered an USB-C extender cable and discovered that the order in which they are plugged in determines if touch is enabled. If I plug the extension cable into my PC then connect it the the supplied cable that is connected to the display touch does not seem to work. If I reverse that extension into the display and supplied USB-C to USB-C into the PC touch does work. Something to keep in mind if you want to use the touchscreen. One very odd issues is with Fortnite. For some reason Fortnite seems to crash at the start while on the bus when connected to this display on my of my computers, but not the other. It happens to be Small ITX build I intend to use this display with most, but mainly for portable VR not Fortnite so It may not be a problem as long as it the only game that does this. As it works with my desktop I don't think it an issue with the display, just with my one system and video card.If you need an additional monitor for professional Photo or video work this is probably not for you, you probably need a professional quality monitor with a greater color gamut. If you are doing standard computer work or amateur photo/video this might work fine. Gaming is OK too, of course highly compatitive gamers would want something better with a high refresh rate. For my use, I'm pleased and it will do what I needed. It even exceeded my expectation with the screen quality, I was expecting it to be dimmer and more dull. Temper you expectation and you should be fine. A portable monitor isn't going to be at the level of you standard desktop non-portable monitors.

Overall a good portable monitor but...
This is really a good portable monitor, honest. The speakers are OK, but you'll want other audio outputs or headphones. The screen is reasonably good, colors are kinda off. Made it work on my phone with USB c only and on my windows pc using hdmi + USB. Now here is my only complain, I'm pretty sure touchscreen works very good but my delivered screen has the top area not exactly broken but touch function there just don't work, so for me only works partially.

It is a quality portable monitor but pricy
Just received it an hour ago. The packing box is very light, I was afraid that it contains a wrong item but upon opening it, it is the right monitor I ordered. Surprise! The picture quality is great, I like the matte finish. There is no dead pixel or scratches. Connected it to my XPS 15 2 in 1 and it works right away with one single Type C cable. The accessories are very luxury. Quality cables are included. The screen is not very bright. In my office, when my laptop is at dial one the screen has to crank all the way up to 9 and still a bit dark. The touch was not functioning correctly in the beginning. When I touch the portable monitor, it scrolls my main screen. I have to open a command prompt, enter "control /name Microsoft.TabletPCSettings", and follow the instruction to configure it correctly. The bezel is very narrow, like 3mm thing, thinner than my XPS!!The only drawback is cost, with the money I paid for it, I can purchase a 4K desktop monitor already. However, I cannot bring my desktop monitor with me when I am out. If only if they can lower the price a bit.

A little heavier and thicker than expected, but good value.
A good price for a reliable usb-powered portable 15-inch monitor with a touchscreen. I'm satisfied.

Please Read for: Washed Out Color Fix
Update: The HDR colors were too vibrant in some scenarios, so I returned it back to auto and adjusted some other settings for a compromise: Temperature: 6500, Game Mode: Performance Mode, Brightness: 90. YMMVI tried an Asus portable monitor first, and it was an average experience, but I exchanged for this one because of touch screen. This monitor is very well made, better than the Asus is every way (and I'm normally an Asus fan). The reason I wanted to write a review though is because at first, the picture on this Wimaxit monitor was dull, washed out, and not bright enough. I fiddled with max brightness and every picture setting/preset I could, and nothing would make it that much better. In the end, all I had to do was to go into the Advanced settings and toggle the "Ultra HDR Mode" from "Auto" to "On", and BAM, instantly fixed. Honestly, night and day difference. Toggle it back and forth and see the difference. Amazing experience once you toggle this setting. Because this isn't default, my brightness rating is 3/5. After the toggle it's 5/5.
