It's quite a large piece of silicon but it does a fantastic job and stopping water from draining, I can leave it all night in the sink and it is still full of water the next day, A good idea would be to take it to hotels and hostels as some sinks no longer have a plug, They are really light so easily put in hand luggage. Totally would recommend them!

For sometime our kitchen sink plugs have failed to stop water escaping. I have purchased several alternatives in the hope that the problem could be rectified, difficult because I can not find the name of the sink unit that was fitted when the kitchen was installed. All purchases have proved unsuccessful, until I purchased this product.I am not sure exactly how it works but it does, I have filled the sink and left it and on return the level hasn't dropped.The plug is large, easy to use and effective.The price seems to be higher than some similar plugs on offer but as I know this one actually works I would purchase again as saving a couple of pounds isn't a saving if the alternative plug doesn't work as well as this one.

Bath plug contraption ceased working, can't be repaired without taking the Bathroom apart and can,t use standard plug due to pipe fitting not compatible. Was recommended one of these. Works very well, probably 90% as I tested it and 2" water departed in about 3 hours. Seemed almost 100% when bath filled full. So maybe a bit of seepage, but look on the bright side, if one nods off one isn't going to drown.When removing do so by lifting one edge slowly to release suction as on my first use I just yanked it up and the suction caused the magnetic plug to operate ( the one that's broken ) so I had no way of releasing it. I eventually fixed it by using a Sink plunger judiciously. Overall, a very good plug for all sorts of flush plugholes. Before you ask, and seeing some reviews moaning about the size ( read the spec ffs you lot ) its 6" or 15cms in diameter.

I moved into a new flat and there was no plug for the kitchen sink. It is an unusual size so I couldn't find an easy replacement plug. This works perfectly as a solution - I tested it overnight and in the morning the same amount of water was still in the sink. Easy to put in and take out. Good value for money. As another reviewer noted, it does discolour slightly but who cares about that when its in your sink!

A great alternative to a regular plug. You can use it anywhere. My little grandson now likes to sit in the shower and you can use this over the drain away in the shower tray as well as the kitchen sink

I wanted to convert an old Belfast sink into a small pond. The universal plug is the right size and exactly what I wanted BUT so far there is a very slow leak - maybe because there's an irregularity around the plughole. I'm sure it's curable, and am working on it.

This is absolutely huge. We laughed our heads off when it arrived and my partner said that it works because it basically covers all the plughole and half the bath around it. It does work although it doesn't seem to have very good suction power..I think it just works because its so big.
