Silly Billy...
Billy is a new engine on the Fat Controllers railway. Thomas is given the task of seeing him through his first day and the jobs he is to do.Things get off to a bad start when Billy calls Thomas a bossy boiler, and it goes from bad to worse as, at each job, Thomas tries to tell Billy things and Bill huffs off calling Thomas bossy and not having actually done the job.Eventually, Billy runs out of coal and water and is forced to stop. Thomas tells him that he only wants to help and things calm down.Thomas and Billy manage to do all the jobs together, Billy apologies for calling Thomas bossy and all is well again on Sodor. It's not the best, there are three sections (each of the jobs) where exactly the same thing happens: Thomas opens his mouth and Billy chuffs off. My son gets a bit bored as he knows what's coming. It's another example of a book he'll sit through - but won't choose himself when given free reign to pick his stories. As usual - the book has nice illustrations and can take quite a lot of punishment from the kids.
