Ernest Rides Again [VHS]

3.5/5 Like most Ernest adventures he stumbles through with his silly/stupid comedy and manages to save the day. If you enjoy Ernest you will likely enjoy this as well. If you are not familiar with the Ernest character Ernest (Played by Jim Varney) started out doing stupid/funny commercials for things like soda and ice cream then moved on to do family/kids movies. In the movies, he does funny/stupid things while on some sort of adventure, such as going to camp, school, Africa, or in this case finding the Crowned Jewels of Britain. Some of the highlights from this movie are: destroying a house, destroying the same house a second time, riding a canon, getting stuck in a canon, and destroying priceless historical artifacts.I didn't enjoy it as much as most of the other Ernest movie, but it is good and enjoyable for any earnest fand and kids of all ages. While I don't enjoy the Ernest movies as much as an adult I also understand some things I didn't as a child so it has been nice to revisit them. It also shows that while they may be for kids, you need to be an adult to fully understand and enjoy them so the Ernest movies are good for all ages.

Ernest is an incredible actor, better than Barney Rubble. Definitely should have been nominated for some kind of super award. Great supporting cast.Fun and Stupid. Makes me understand history better.

We have had Ernest movies for thirty years. Our children grew up loving his goofey antics and now our grandchildren are loving him. Somewhere along the way we missed this one. I found it at Amazon and gave it to my husband for father's day. He's an avid Ernest fan. He was so excited he had a come to Grandpa's house for pop corn and a movie. In this day of reality its fun to just sit back and laugh through a good movie.

Jim Varney, a great comedian, I love it when he does old lady impressions! His slapstick humor is good, quite funny actually, even for adults who dare channel the 12 year old in them.

Quality of the VHS was awful. Was not able to watch.

I bought that to add to my Ernest movies.

My 12 year old grandson loves all of the Ernest movies, this one was HILLARIOUS he said.

This was a great film! If you want some laughs and/or a fan of Ernest this one is for you
