Utopia Tool's Wood Burning Pen Kit

Works well for the price, but it takes a little while to heat fully (~10 mins), and the heating can be a little inconsistent. Still, I use it all the time for wood burning and it gets the job done.

Okay. I didn't read too many good reviews on any inexpensive wood burning tool. But I only had one sign that I planned to write "PRIVATE" on. After sort of burning in a 3 inch P and a 3 inch R, I quit. Neither the P or the R looked very burnt in. Brown yes, but burnt, no. A magic marker would be more effective. I had to wait 4 different times in order to allow the burner to heat up again and still it was a pathetic effort. Now I'm just going to paint the small sign by hand and save my wrists and fingers the torture of holding the tip against the wood and slowly and hopefully move the appliance .
