Belle Jardin: Color The Garden of Your Dreams Adult Coloring Book

This is Peggy Jo Ackley's second book. I adored her first Flora Bella, and this book is lovingly equal. Her books are happy and the illustrations are right up my alley! So many times we buy a book based on the cover and find the inside disappointing. Belle Jardin is beautiful, well done and there are even some recipes inside! My favorite things to color are small, preferably flowers, but I like the little details. I use good pencils, Polychromos and Caran d'Ache so I can't say how more liquid media might react, but I'm thinking pens won't be an issue here. The book is a garden filled with flowers, fruits, veggies and happiness. The paper is excellent and white and while the pages are perforated, they are not one-sided which may it's only low point should you want to frame them. I highly recommend Peggy's books, they are a joy!

OH MY GOODNESS THIS BOOK IS nothing short of amazing!!! I would love to say to all the bonuses in this book but I can guarantee you will LOVE THE BOOK!!!! I sure hope she comes out with another, it’s nothing short of WOWZA!!!!!!!

This is one of the nicest coloring books that I have bought. There are wonderful drawings that fill up the page. Large, small whatever you want, if you like to garden and be outside. Happy

If you want something other than the many books filled with beautiful drawings of fairies and mermaids, I love those too, then take a look at this book. It’s filled with a terrific variety of produce and trees and gardening tools. Find a flip through on YouTube to see how wonderful the artwork is. The pages are double sided but thick. I was able to use some water color pencils with minimal water and not have it spoil the other side of the page. It takes pastels and colored pencils very well.

I have many coloring books and I love this one! Designs are printed on both sides of the page but the artwork is awesome! If you love coloring food related books or cozy country farmhouse living you will love this. It has everything from Fruits, Vegetables, Seed Packets, Flowers, and some nice scenes from the garden and kitchen. It definitely has the country charm and it will be great for spring and summer to get you in the mood for garden season.

I first bought Flora Bella a few days ago and fell in love with so decided I would get Belle Jardin as well. My colouring timetable this summer is now filled with these books. I adore both of them in fact I did not think that anything could surpass the delight of Flora Bella but if anything could I think this one does just by a smidgen. They are both beautifully drawn, the paper is lovely quality and the pages are perforated to allow easy removal. I love the poems and the addition of the occasional recipe is a nice touch. As may be perceived I am in love with these books and if you like fruit, flowers and gardening I am sure you will be too. All I can say is a big thank you to the artist for sharing her talents with us.

This is such a beautiful colouring book, and so delicately artworked with superb attention to detail, not least in the typography incorporated in many of the pages, and carefully thought-out a compositions of fruits, veg and kitchen goodies. There are even recipes included. It would be great for anyone who loves gardening, cooking or homemaking or just colouring as I’m not very good at gardening or cooking but I love it! Some nice sentiments in poems about gardens and nature.

Oh my word. I just love this book. Beautifully illustrated with a quirky, but not surreal, take on everyday themes. I mention that it's not surreal because so many of the colouring books on offer are pretty 'dark' even when they're beautifully drawn. This book is full of sun and joy. I just dived in. Lovely paper. I'm often an anxious colourist and don't know where to start, but this book just drew me in and I was enjoying myself so much I forgot to be anxious 🤣🤣
