What On Earth Am I Here For? Video Study

I don't think there is a more effective program than the Purpose Driven style one. Every time we did Rick Warren at our church there was big growth in size and love. I believe many churches try to reinvent the wheel on the purpose of the body when Rick has fine tuned it. It seems that all of his teaching has been measured by fruit; this is very important when it comes to avoiding poor ideas and common problems that have crept into the body on a regular basis.Why can't I just read the Bible and get it strait from the source? Because the Bible was written at a scholarly level in at least two different dead languages. We need fruit bearing, loving pastors like Mr. Warren to help us navigate the waters of the great book and teach us how to be part of the purpose of adoption and transformation.This DVD provides just the right summery of the weekly reading and it really helps to drive the message home. If you know someone who needs Christ, invite them to lay their hurt on the cross, take up a new life with Him, and invite them on a 40 day journey to discover the new life.

We have a small bible study group of people who don't care to read much, so this was a nice way to focus on what our relationship with God is ... according to God and some challenges to grow ourselves--for God's pleasure. I liked it. I'm glad for the DVD study because it is the only thing that works with this group.

Lots of good information for just one book series. The video helps concentrate the teaching, although it is too repetitive sometimes. Rick Warren is one of the best teachers in the Christian community right now, and it's worth going through the series (this is my 3rd time) more than once.

You need to have the book along with this course. The course is a 42 day study on why am I here. The video is very informative and the study guide gives a lot to ponder. I am going to teach this course in my small group at church. A definite must buy. Rick Warren is at his best and gives insightful lectures that are meaningful and at times humorous.

I'm teaching it to the bible study class in fact I purchased 10 of the little books to give to those that finish the program. The small booklet answers life's three biggest questions. Very good lesson and a very good book to give those who have questions about their purpose in life. I have to the journal, and the daily inspiration.

Originally brought this DVD Study for a a Youth group (Middle School). The DVD is just of Rick Warren taking in front of a background. Okay for Adults but a bit long for middle-schoolers. We will finish this Study as the information is great and I like that he repeats himself alot so that its engraved in the kids heads. Also I really like the Study Guide...its very youth appropriate.

Wonderful study!! Reflects on topics in reading and also leads into deeper study if desired. We have some in group that just enjoy study and some that enjoy the further study referred to and available online for daily studies. DVD prepared with top quality sound and lights to feel like Rick Warren Is there talking to you in person.

This is an excellent study and is a rewrite of the original, The Purposed Driven Life. The principles are classic to reach Christian maturity. The book is excellent; the DVD is a short recap and should not replace the book.
