Gorgeous tail, was super fun for my kids!
I got this mermaid tail for my 6 year old daughter, who loves mermaids. The bikini fit her well, and was a nice addition to the tail, which was the main reason I got this. The mermaid tail does not come with the fin, that will have to purchased separately. Also, the tail will be long as the bottom part goes over the mono fin, which I demonstrate in the first part of my video. I don't think it really states that in the directions, and even though it seemed obvious to me I know it may not be to others right away. The material itself is stretchy and the zipper moves pretty smoothly. I didn't notice any loose threads. The care instructions are to wash separately in cool water by hand, and I hung it to dry.The design of the mermaid tail really comes to life underwater. It looked really cool. This does take some time to get used to as the motions for swimming in this are very different, even for experienced swimmers. Do not leave your kid unattended in this. My daughter is still young and learning so she wasn't great at wearing this. My video was of her first time wearing it, but she loved it! You'll have to excuse my other kids in the background. I have three girls, plus my daughters friend so I had my hands full when testing this out LOL! I'm also not the greatest at editing videos, but I did want to include some instructions in case anybody needed any help with it :)

Really cute
This mermaid tail set is a really good value. It comes with a two piece matching bikini. Very soft quality. It doesn't feel cheaply made, or like it will snag easily. The top ties around the neck and back.The swimsuit fit perfectly, but the tail was longer then I would of liked. Same soft material and matching pattern. There is a zipper down the side. You can walk with this tail, so your feet are not trapped. Costume-swimwear. The tail slips right up with no issues. Realistic looking scales!

Okay, zipper not too durable
We've looked at lots of Metmaid tails at many different price points. In fact, this is the second one we bought! My daughter loves it and loves that when she's done being a mermaid she can use her legs in the matching bathing suit.The reason I gave it 3 stars is because the zipper came apart after wearing it once. I was able to get it back together, but now I won't let my daughter use the zipper anymore so it doesnt come apart again.

Not durable!
I'm giving 2 stars because the tail and bathing suit are very nice looking but not durable at all.I gave it to my daughter and in less that a month there are 3 holes. The material is very thing, and breaks easily.
