Heineken in Africa: A Multinational Unleashed Hardcover – Illustrated, September 1, 2019

Van beemen geht auf die Machenschaften von Heineken und diverser Subunternehmer in verschiedenen Ländern ein. Wenn nur die Hälfte davon stimmt ist es schon ziemlich krass. Zwar gut geschrieben, teilweise aber etwas langatmig.

This is well worth a read and for those that know Africa if may come of somewhat of a shock. However, we should be used to the cynicism of multi-nationals and the lengths they go to for market share. Some of the examples of Heineken's employees obsession should not therefore be much of a suprise but some of the stories are genuinely shocking - particularly the section on their behavior during the Rwanda atrocities.
