Great Lightweight, Warm & Breathable Running Gilet
Today I went for a run & wore my TCA Men's Excel Runner Thermal Gilet. I ordered a Medium & it fits great. It’s not tight or constricting in any way. The Medium says it fits 37-40 inch (94-102cm) chest & 32-35 inch (81-89cm) waist, I’m 5’9” 170 lbs 40” chest & 32” waist. I feel their estimates are right on. Chest fits snug but not tight & there’s some room in the midsection & waist. As I stated, I went for a run this afternoon. It was a sunny but windy (7-9mph) 29F (-1C) day. I went on a 5 mile 45 minute run. I wore the gilet, a thermal runners shirt & running leggings. The gilet is extremely light & performed great. It never felt uncomfortable nor did it shift or bunch up on me. Although I was a bit chilly at the start of the run, I was warm & comfortable after the first half mile. My torso remained warm while my back could breathe. After mile 3, I did lower the zipper from my chin a few inches. This allowed a bit of extra body heat to dissipate from my neck. I know some have complained about the neck of the gilet being uncomfortable or the zipper cutting into there chin/neck, I did not experience this. The gilet has 2 descent sized side pockets w/zippers. The zippers remained zipped during my run & never posed a problem w/snagging on the arms of my shirt.I really like the TCA Men's Excel Runner Thermal Gilet. I’ll most likely order another in grey. If you’re looking for a lightweight running gilet, give this one a shot. TCA offers a 365 day no hassle return policy. What do you have to lose?Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope you found it helpful.

Collar and zipper
I believe this is made in England. I not had it long so I will wear a few more times to see how it breaks in. I can wear XL in most anything made in USA. Even some large. This is a little tight for a "standard" XL ... but it works. I am a little thick (exercise everyday) but I would order up one more size than the size chart calls for. The thing that bothers me the most is the zipper at the very tip of collar. As I am doing my walking the zipper or collar "sticks" into the side of my neck right under my jaw. It is uncomfortable. Jury is still out at this point.

Nice running vest.
This is a very nice running vest. I had been looking at the Running vests in the store and they were extremely expensive for what they were, plus I prefer the less known brands for my running gear so I took a look Amin amazon and found this. This was great value and does an excellent job of keeping warm on runs in the ny winters. Fit is as expected. I got a small (I usually get small) I’m 5’8” athletic build 145lb true to size. Only complaint is I’ve had issues with the zip at the bottom coming open m, however I have managed to adjust this and it can be fixed by re zipping. Overall build quality is excellent for the price. Recommended!

Kept me warm during my marathon run!
Amazing product, I ran the NYC Marathon with this on and it was perfect! Kept me warm during the early part and I never overheated. For the price you pay and what New Balance and NIKE charge for theirs is ridiculous. Trust me this product is awesome!!

Exactly what I needed...a must have
Perfect plus up for a thermal layer. The collar covers the base of your neck well and the vented back makes total sense if you’re running distance. Pockets can cover hands if need be but seem to be meant for storing small items...I put gloves, hat, light, and other items in there but don’t rely on them much since I have a pack. It fits me perfect as it’s not long or riding up on me. The zipper works well but an improvement would be making it a double...sometimes venting the lower torso helps regulate sweat if you’re overlayered. Some more reflective tape would be another plus. All in all, this is an outstanding vest and, like all runners, I can point out suggested improvements but this vest is good to go!

Fantastic for the Price
I live in Anchorage, Alaska and needed something for when the temperatures drop down to 0*F or colder. I've only worn it once so far, but it kept me plenty warm this morning for a 3*F run. My body tends to run warm,so I just wore this with a long sleeve synthetic shirt underneath, and a windbreaker jacket over the top. I was plenty warm the whole run. The back and side are super stretchy, so it's very comfortable and not restrictive at all. I am always either a small or medium, depending on the brand/jacket fit. I'm 5'5" and about 150lbs, with a wider chest/back that often makes the tight "athletic" jackets too narrow for me in the "small" size. I ordered the Medium to be safe, and it fits just fine, but I would probably get the small if I was ordering again. The Medium is just a wee bit on the long side, and fits relaxed. It's not baggy by any means, just a casual, relaxed fit. I'm sure the small would give me a more trim, but still comfortable fit that hugs the body a little more. Also, the armholes are plenty spacious, and not restrictive at all. Even the small size I feel would be fine since the material stretches so well. It wasn't an issue so far, but I did notice the side/back panels are 70% cotton, which I was kind of surprised about, but the vest still breathed just fine and wasn't saturated with sweat or anything. For $25, this vest really can't be beat!

Great for Running!
I live in Colorado so the running can be quite chilly in the winter. I have run with this now in about 20 degree weather and it was perfect. The back lets your body breathe but the front blocks all the wind chill and keeps your core warm. I even had sleet building up on it as I ran and still felt super comfortable! Love it.

Great vest, especially for running
This is lightweight but keeps the core warm! I ran a half marathon in 12°F in a long sleeve base layer and this, and there were points that I had to unzip it most of the way because I was getting hot! Obviously, if you're not running in it, it won't keep you as warm in colder temperatures. The back is slightly vented, so you won't sweat as easily (a good thing in colder weather). The pockets are a good size and can easily hold a pair of gloves and a phone in one. Fits as expected and I find it stylish!Only negative thing is that the top of the zipper had a sharp point, but was easily fixed by hand to not irritate my neck.

Comfy, warm, good for running & no problem with chin rub
Wearing something that covers my arms makes me get too hot on a run even with sub-zero temperatures. But wanted something to cover my body. This was a low cost sleeveless jacket and had reasonable reviews, although I was concerned about the chin rub part which many people complained about. I have worn it on many nights and morning runs now and have found it very comfortable with no chin rub. It could certainly do with some protection for the chin and neck from the zip but I've not found it rubs and I don't notice it all when I'm running. The collar sits upright but does tend to curl around the neck rather than sit upright pointing forward, again, not something that has bothered me during running. The reflective nature is great too and a selling point for me. It doesn't keep me too warm but provides just the right amount for me.

Meh 8/10
Comfy, lightweight very nice waist coat. But as in other reviews does rub on chin which can be really irritating. Overall Pleased with purchase and would buy again.

Great outdoor workout gear
I bought this to train for a 10k during the winter months and now the weather has turned I've started using it and it's been great. The material is very lightweight and durable, pockets on the front can keep my phone and keys secure. I haven't been put off going running by the terrible Northern climate because of this. Highly recommended.

Lightweight. Effective warmth. Good visibility.
I use the bodywarmer while cycling in low light to the gym in the morning and onto the beaches in Faro at other times. The Algarve is relatively warm in Winter compared to England. I have other gilets including windproof ones, I prefer using this one at this time of year. This yellow gilet packs away into a small space, fits beautifully and gives neck protection when the air is cool and I am riding at speed.

Decent product but awful zip
The body warmer is ideal for running in on cold days/nights. It keeps your body warm but doesn't overheat you, which is perfect for me as I seem to always overheat while wearing layers. The only problem is the main zip on the collar. It constantly digs in to your neck or underneath your chin. It is extremely noticeable while out running and very off putting. If they could lower the collar so that the zip is a little further down, then it might sit more comfortably.
