Camden 80"W x 90"H Vinyl Privacy Screen

On the side of our house we had this large blank wall, plus the vent from our fireplace, which looked pretty...well boring. So, we bought this panel/trellis to livin it up!Installation isn't hard, but I hope readers will learn from a couple simple mistakes I made.1. Do not build it by yourself.2. Lay down a sheet or tarp to protect the vinyl while building.3. Make sure you follow the instructions in the correct order.You need help because attaching the horizontal spindles to the vertical spindles is tricky alone. It's very hard to align them alone. I wanted to surprise my husband and have it built before he got home from work and I ended up having to take it apart (twice). I finally gave up and when he got home the two of us had the spindles and the beams aligned perfectly within a very short time and finished building it quickly.We built this on our garage floor on top of a bed sheet to keep the vinyl protected.It's still early spring so my plantings are not at their peak. We installed the trellis behind three tiger sumac shrubs, that I planted last year (see second photo). These shrubs are not evergreen during the winter, so they need a little more time to come to their full beauty again.This spring I planted a hydrangea vine (middle of trellis) and on each post, I planted 'Mr. President' Clematis, which is a gorgeous purple (see third photo).The beauty of this panel/trellis is that you can do as little or as much as you like regarding plantings because it looks great as a stand-alone feature as well as a support for your garden plants. This product was ordered from the same company to match my beautiful, white pergola over the patio. It looks great! However, the installation instructions only call for short, wooden posts that slide up into the white, vertical posts to the first horizontal crosspiece which blocks the possibility of a taller post. When installed, per these directions, the whole privacy screen wobbles back and forth. I am wondering what will happen when vines or roses climb it and we get one of those big Oklahoma storms this spring. But...I still love it!

I'm very pleased with this product, from the shipping to the assembly. It is lightweight, yet sturdy. I assembled the entire thing myself and only needed my husband to dig the two-foot deep post holes and help set it in concrete. We purchased a pressure treated, 4 x 4 and two bags of quick set concrete at a hardware store. The hardest part was running into rocks during the digging process. One thing that made the placement really easy was to stand it up where we wanted it, then spray paint on the ground around the posts to mark the area to dig. We are fairly handy, but this was truly one of the easier projects we have done.

I like the product however it is somewhat expensive. Still it was easy to put together, and looks great. I do wish there was some add on option that would allow you to connect multiple units into one larger unit.

I put in four of these for the roses and privacy... low maintenance and easy to assemble nice product... city only allowed a 3ft fence and I have 6 ft worth of dog ( German Shepherd) so trellis had dual purpose roses & privacy .... PVC construction not glossy plastic but not wood like either... once roses filled in it met its intended purpose !!!

Very well made, quality material and looks fantastic assembled.We installed it in front of the house as an accent piece against the main wall...love it!It also arrived much quicker than expected, was so thrilled, it was like Christmas in July, lol.
