It works, is super easy to install (even for little old ladies) and the picture on my tv is great!
I can’t believe I didn’t try this sooner. I made the assumption that because I’m in an apartment building where it looked like I wouldn’t have reception, it wouldn't work and never even considered trying. Prior to this I owned a home in another state and went without TV for 3 years due to a serious falling out with an infamous cable provider--I'm a senior on Social Security, ergo a tight budget and they jacked up my charges every month by 50% to force me to resign a contract. I had tried a different brand of antenna in my former house, which didn’t work—apparently because it had aluminum siding--so hadn't a lot of confidence this time around.(In case this is helpful: In my area there was a free online site that provides tv schedules for those without cable and there are sites with helpful hints about using antennae, which upped my confidence. When you click on the show you're watching, the tv brings up info about that show and earlier and later ones on each channel, which is a help as well. I don't know if this is a function of smart tvs but that seems likely.)Luckily, friends I visited where I now live, who are pretty tech savvy, have gone this route and really encouraged me to do the same. They live in a home outside the city, so I wasn't completely confident but decided to check this out again. So, I did some research and felt comfortable that I was likely to be happy with this brand and the Ultra-thin Digital HDTV Antenna, with a range of 130 miles. If you're concerned about the installation: I’m a 73-year-old 5’ female with ‘devastating’ damage to both shoulders--typing this was quite painful--and I still had no problems installing the antenna. Easy Peasy. Plus, it didn't interfere with the DVD player that is still attached.I did try removing the amplifier, counter-intuitive, but was suggested, and the reception immediately improved. What surprised me was that it also worked much better lying flat, right under the tv. I moved the cable modem (for internet) a bit farther back, as that did seem to cause some interference, as the instructions indicated. At that point the picture equaled cable on all stations without wavering. (Today's cable requires a modem but you can purchase your own to eliminate the monthly rental fees, which my friends have done. I'm waiting until I move to see if I should do that.)I can’t believe how long I went without tv before. I’m getting almost as many channels as I got on cable at the low tier I had, but also more PBS channels than cable (one has ‘world’ programming) and a couple more new stations that are fun. The only ones I’ll miss when I drop off the cable set are The Weather Chanel and C-Span but they’re not worth the money I’ll save. I’m in a tough location and the picture is still great, so I’m expecting this to get even better when I move. And, the reception is equal to cable, which really surprised me. (I have a Roku TV.) On the very few stations where the reception is weak, I tweak the antenna and they're fine.My friend had suggested I add tv service to my bedroom, as it’s painful to lie down so I put off going to bed until—well, it’s 5:30 am right now... (With tv on in the background, I’ll likely fall asleep better, but, I couldn’t justify the extra modem with cable. The free antenna will really be a great solution.)Re the free antenna offer for a review: If this one wasn't working so well, it would have been better to return it and get a different brand, so that doesn't affect the nature of my review. I've already suggested this to other persons I know who have issues with cable, and, even if you retain your cable, you can bring in extra stations that cable may not include, as I have.I asked one question to their customer service at the address on the card that came with the antenna and they got back the same day. (I was just checking my email--totally out of control at 65K--and located their response, duh.)I plan on updating this with photos in the near future, one of the same station with cable and with the antenna, before I 'cut the cord', which will be in the next few days :)

Spared me from cable!
I had a hard time finding a place for this but once I did (hanging awkwardly in window) it works great! I combined this with Pluto and Tubi and now I have plenty of FREE channels plus On Demand movies plus local channels! Cable and satellite no more!

Doesn’t Reach as far as it claims
I set up near a window high up. I'm on the top floor, and it doesn't reach as far as it says signal-wise. It works but not as advertised.

U MUST HAVE Amplified HD Digital TV Antenna Long 250 Miles Range - Support 4K 1080p and
I bought this for my aunt who just entered a rest home. It was going to cost me $70 just for basic cable, so I decided we need to get free digital tv via the antenna style. We got the U MUST HAVE 250-miles range one and to test it, we attached it to my niece's 10 yr old inexpensive dumb LED TV. My niece installed the antenna's attached coaxial cable and USB plug to the back of her TV and follow the instructions on the package to download the software onto the TV...which took a few minutes to complete..just follow the downloading icon on the TV screen until it is finished. Figuring the higher I place the super light weight flexible antenna the better the reception, I placed it in the window about 8 ft above the ground, it received transmission with clear pictures on the TV screen. However, after I lowered the mini blinds back down, we lost all transmission. I pulled the blinds back up, but still no picture. So I moved the antenna all over the windows, and even behind the TV and on the walls, without any luck. In frustration, I set it down on the sofa and the pictures returned and stayed. In her big city, we received about 20+ channels, including, GRIT (western movies), GET TV (old TV shows), KCAL, and a bunch of PBS shows and shopping channels. However no ABC, CBS, NBC, or sports channels. The shows were either 720p or 1080p depending on the channels. My aunt's place is in the large flat desert region with about a half million residents, so I expect recession to be decent there also, although she may get less channels. I'm hoping she will be able to get the A, C and N channels when it gets install at her place. She doesn't watch anything beyond the basics. I think much of what you get will depend on your location and terrain. For our purpose, it saved us $70 a month to keep her entertained. I wonder how well it works in pine tree mountain communities...anyone?UPDATE March 27, 2021: I changed it from 4 stars to 5 stars because the seller was very responsive to inquiries.

Best Purchase made on Amazoon !
The media could not be loaded. This is the best antenna I have ever purchased! I previously purchased an antenna and paid over $100 dollars for it. I paid this much because I live in a subdivision with lots of old tall trees. Basically I waisted my money! It barely if all ever worked. It was large, bulky and impossible to hide! Well, I was doing some late night shopping on Amazon and ran across this antenna. Because I have been in bed sick with Covid, I have been watching alot of tv. We recently got rid of live HULU because we were tired of paying the rediclous price to watch local tv. I decided to try it again with this antenna. It took me approximately 5 minuets to set it up. I still have Covid but was able to set it up with no problem!! It was actually harder to give this review than to set up the antenna! Lastly, the picture quality is excellent! I am so happy I ran across this antenna. The only suggestion that I would give is to maybe consider including a longer cable. I still give it a 5 because a longer cable would just make it a little more useable for people with large rooms. It has nothing to do with the quality of the actual antenna!! You won't be disappointed if you purchase this antenna!!
