Melitta Coffee Pods, Breakfast Blend Decaffeinated, Light Roast, 18 Count (Pack of 4) 72 Total Pods

SO, so happy to find pods for my good old Melitta One, which I've had in my classroom for going on 8 years now! I panicked a couple of weeks before the end of the school year because I depleted my "stash" and couldn't find pods locally.I had never had this flavor (Love at First Sip) before, but decided to give it a try based on some of the reviews (both positive and negative - always read them all; sometimes the (-)'s are a (+) for you!). I was not disappointed. This flavor is fragrant, flavorful, bold but not strong, and just perfect for my daily coffee "fix"; it even reheats w/out getting that yucky "flat" taste! (I may have to open a D-Dunk for the kids...they're always hitting me up for coffee...lol) I particularly like that the pods are individually wrapped, which means the flavor stays sealed in (unlike loose pods in a box), and that the box also serves as a dispenser - handy and compact. Even though the ubiquitous "they" now say not to store your coffee in the fridge/freezer (after years of recommending this!!!), I still do for two reasons: (1) I live in AZ...it's always hot and dry, so I don't trust the daytime temps in my house (we have to save $$ somehow on that electric bill...haha) or the evening temps in my classroom; and (2) I just don't want to take chances w/ possible "unwanted guests" that I can't control in a public building. That said, with this economical three-pack of individually packaged pods I'm all stocked up, and even subscribed so I'll always be prepared during this upcoming school year, which is looming way too quickly...ugh...I Think I need a cup of coffee!!!(I added a visual measurement for those who are trying to see if these fit other brands of pod machines.)

While this is great tasting coffee, I have a Senseo coffee maker and these pods are a little too big for the single pod holder and not big enough for the double pod holder. What I have been doing is smashing it down with my hand on the counter before putting it into the single pod holder. The flat side after smashing it on the counter goes on the up side in the single pod holder. This little hand-smashing of the pod has worked out well and makes the best tasting coffee, better than any of the other Melitta medium or bold flavors.

I can't say enough about the Melitta line of coffees! They are by far the best coffee I've ever made at home. I typically by the "Buzzworthy" and fill my "to go" coffee cup twice (using my Melitta Coffee maker, one large cup and one small cup buttons). It's perfectly diluted, but still strong. My mom prefers this brand, "Love At First Sip". It's a milder blend, but still VERY good, even when pressing the small cup button twice.These coffee blends taste like the gourmet coffee you buy in the trendy coffee houses. You will LOVE these coffees!

I've got a tiny Hamilton Beach single cup coffee maker that uses senseo pods. These melitta pods make a terrible cup of coffee in the machine, versus Senseo pods that actually turn out reasonably tasty for something so easy. I usually like a nice strong coffee (ie french press, aeropress), but for weekdays I settle for a quick and easy cup to get me going. However, the Melitta pods don't meet even a basic definition of coffee as far as I can tell. I've actually tried soaking the pods directly in hot water, and even then there is very little flavor. Kind of unbelievable. There is plenty of caffeine, just no taste whatsoever.

These come in great for so many reasons. At odd times when you want a cup of tea or coffee, but not a potful. When you're about to leave but can't do without a cup of coffee. When somebody drops in and would like a cup of coffee. Even when you've run out of whole beans but need a cup before shopping. A must-have in our kitchen! Plus, it tastes good as well!

I have a Melitta One:One machine and have been using Juan Valdez pods in it. When I ran out I searched for pods for it & only came up with these Melitta-brand ones. I figured (incorrectly) that the others weren't available & purchased these. VERY disappointing. My coffee had been nice, strong & tasty, but coffee made with these is weak & tasteless. I bought a 4-box package of three different types & am now stuck with them. Forget these & head to Juan Valdez (same price range) unless you like weak coffee.

I like this coffee, but as others have mentioned the pod is a bit thicker than the senseo.I tried both options:Put it in the single pod basket on the senseo, force the lock closed. This works well but feels like you will break the machine with time. It really needs forcing.Or you can put it in the double pod holder. The problem here is it is too loose and does not seal well leaving you with weak coffee. You can moisten the pod before putting it in the machine. This does result in good coffee but is an extra step.Also they come individually wrapped. Perfect for a hotel or other public use, but a bit of extra waste at home.I won't buy again, and am looking for another pod that works with Senseo.

These Melitta coffee pods are great tasting! I have been using these for a couple of years now and I love them. The "Love at First Sip" flavor is mild and smooth tasting. This is the best price on the internet. They arrive quickly and are always fresh and undamaged. Very simple to use with the Melitta coffee system. Buy some today!
