98% Perfect
Love, love, LOVE these boots! I've always wanted a pair and am happy with them now that I finally have them. Totally did not realize they were steel-toe boots when I bought them (they were on sale for 30% off!) so that was a nice bonus to discover when I tried them on the first time. They're snug around the ankle, easy to get on and off, stylish and sturdy, AND I get an extra three inches of height too! Two complaints. First is that the fit is a little loose (I'm a size 7 and ordered a size 7), but wearing a pair of thick socks, or two pairs of thin socks, makes them fit perfectly. Not a big deal considering they're my fall/winter boots for work, and I intended on wearing thick socks with them anyway. Second, the elastic on the outside of the right boot is already starting to fray :( I didn't realize that that was "a thing" common to the Chelsea boots after Doc Marten switched manufacturers, so to say I'm bummed is a bit of an understatement. I bought them in September 2022 and it's now the beginning of November 2022, so it only took about 2 months of consistent wear for the fraying to start.JAN 2025 UPDATE: These boots are still amazing! The fraying on the side has not changed or gotten worse over the years, and I've worn them way more often than just in the fall/winter (they're super cute with ankle socks and sundresses in the summertime FYI). I purchased the official Doc Marten sole inserts, and now they fit PERFECTLY and I can wear them year-round comfortably. Also, there was never a breaking-in period with these boots, they were perfectly comfortable from the get-go.

Just buy them! Its worth the money!
They are absolutely stunning! They look beatiful and flattering, but the best part its that they are really comfortable, i could walk with them for hours. Didnt need to break them, fit really well. They do run a little big, im usually size 7 or 7 1/2, i have wide feet so i didnt listen to the reviews, and bought size 7 as usual. However, if you’re going to use them with thick stockings, for cold weather, and have wide feet like i do, they will be fine. But if you’re not, then probably is better to size down.

Give them a couple wears to break them in and they’re great
These are less rough to break in than other Docs I’ve had (looking at you, Jadons). It takes about two days to break them in, and during that time, there’s some discomfort but not really pain. After they’re broken in, they’re so comfortable it’s ridiculous. They look great. Docs do run a tad big, so if you’re between sizes, you could probably size down. I’m about a 7.5 but I usually stick to the 8 with boots so I have room for thicker socks. The 8 for these is very roomy for me. Other reviews mention that these are hard to get on, which they do require a little pulling and stretching, but I think some of them were exaggerating. I put my foot in vertically and use the strap to pull them on. I’ve yet to have any issues getting them on or off, and the more you wear them, the easier it gets.

Takes a minute to break them in, but it’s soooo worth it
As always, I thoroughly read dozens of reviews to make an informed decision on these boots. I decided to go for it, and I want to give a bit of advice so you won’t end up with painful blisters, and cuts like I saw on some poor person’s ankles here.As far as the sizing goes, I normally wear a 7.5 regular or wide depending on the brand (love the lack of consistent sizing for most clothing and shoes, yuck). Based on what I read, size 7 would fit best. No toe pinching at all, they are literally perfect. The top of my foot felt a little snug for a couple of days, but they loosened up just a little and now they’ve molded to my feet. These are challenging to pull on for about 7 days. I noticed marked improvement on day 3, but still tough. I had to WORK my feet into these the first time. I want to say it took me almost 15 minutes to get them on. If you’re like me and can’t make your foot flex like a ballerina, there is hope, it just takes patience, and extra time getting dressed so you’re not late from fighting to get your boots on. 3 weeks in, and I can get them on in 2 minutes or better.Let’s talk socks. You will need some thick socks, I went with Hanes extra cushion crew socks. I made the mistake of using ankle socks that were maybe half an inch too short, so my shins got bruised AF from the boots rubbing and pressing against them. Once I got my new socks, I folded them down over themselves so I’d have easily 2 inches of sock above boot, and extra padding from the punishing top of the boot. Not once did my actual feet hurt from wearing, it was just the shins. I don’t have to fold my socks down any longer, as they’re pretty much broken in after 3 weeks. Thicker socks feel great with these, I’ve been wearing them to work everyday and my other work shoes are dead to me. RIP Skechers ✌🏻

Different from Dr.Martens website
I ordered the women's size 10 boot from Amazon since there was such a a steep discount. I sized down from my typical skinny, long footed 10.5. I could get the boot on but my toes were completely crammed into the toe box. The 11's off Amazon were no different in price from the actual store so I ordered from the store. Though the box from Dr.Marten's reads 11, the inside is a 10 much like the Amazon boot. The difference is that I can comfortably wear what was sent from the official website. See photos, but the material of the boots from Amazon are different from that of the actual store. The Amazon shoe has polished and much tougher leather (doesn't really move even when pressing with my fingers). The Amazon shoes did not come with any tissue inserts or cardboard supports. The boots ordered from the Dr. Martens website are a brushed and softer leather. The date of manufacture of Amazon on the inside of the box is 6/3/2022 vs the store at 7/10/2023. Do what you want with this information but wanted to get it out there that the finish and sizing is not the same and that may be a problem for some people. They are a pretty silhouette though!Update: added a final picture because I think was some quality control issue with the pair I got from Amazon. The two shoes are definitely not the same size so I think I might've had some bad luck with my order.
