It thought it was something else. Its basically a calcium and trace element supplement. You cant overdose this and its not necessary if you use quality salt, like their reef crystals or the other one instant ocean sells...

I spend lots of money until I found this product!

My live rock was fading from the dark purple color it was when it entered my tank so I gave this product a chance. With in 2 weeks of adding the product it was visibly better. Almost a month later it is back to the color it was when purchased. I am very happy with the product.I added dry rock 2 weeks ago and it has signs of the purple alge starting to form on it already.I highly recommend this product.

This is useful only after adding coralline algae. This and borate in my tank have not made algae flourish, gbut it's definitely there. It's possible snails graze it up, but there's a huge amount of surface area and some surfaces are preferentially coated but not hidden from snails. I do not have borate test kit, so I'm blind to levels. I added amount suggested, then cut back. I don't know how much adsorbs to carbon in filter or to crushed coral.

This was my first time not getting a marineland power filter and I'm very pleased. I love that I can adjust the water flow. I'm using this pump for a 10 gallon nano reef tank along with a circulation pump. The fact that I can adjust the water flow to my corals liking is awesome.
